Wow, this show just gets better.
I can hardly stand to watch it anymore, I always cry, I can't stop it. A man is not supposed to cry, but stuff like this just cuts me in half.
Thank you Lifetime Channel, you can continue to cut my guts out, I don't mind. I'll watch, and I'll drain my eyes every time I guess.
That geetar playing dad, surprised while he is on stage, God bless that Matt Rogers and his producers. And the kids who didn't know their daddy was home, sent off on a treasure hunt.
I can barely stand it but I will continue to watch. That little girl with the paper chain counting down the days until mom comes back, this is why American military families are my greatest love.

It was never my honor to serve, and I don't have any kids over there, but this show is close to my heart.
I give up, this is good stuff and I can't stop myself from watching it in spite of what it does to me. I'm just glad I don't have any skin in that game.
I don’t think I could watch that show. I can barely stand the troop/family reunion videos on youtube. They make me feel so.....sappy! lol
A couple of weeks ago my niece’s husband was going to be home for 4 days. She knew but didn’t tell the 3 girls.
He just walked in the door like he normally would when he wasn’t deployed. The girls just said, “Hi, Dad.” and then the reality dawned on them and they all started crying and hugging him.
Then that is all the more reason to sit down one Sunday evening and eat dinner and watch that show.
It is hard to watch that and digest, I know, but as one of my college profs used to say “It is a worthy use of liesure time.

I can’t help believe that Americans make coming home so much more than anyone else.
I pray each night my own Son comes home to us well and whole. I pray that is not too much to ask. He has been gone so long and we all miss him more than words could ever say. My walks to the back pond to fish are just no good anymore.
Each new reunion I see gives me hope and fills me with pride for the job he is doing.
Home was made for coming from with dreams of going to.
Wow, please accept my praise.
When, not if, he comes home, be ready for somebody who has been changed and affected by the things he has done and seen. I will not have been and easy trip.
Welcome him and cook him some ribs or a brisket. And tell him Thank You from us who have not given up our time and skin to those wars.

I think maybe if politicians watched a few shows and/or videos about troops coming home, maybe they wouldn’t be so eager to send our boys in to police the world.
We either need to go all-in to win these wars, or never go in to start with. Our troops deserve that much. :)
You have a very good point! I have come to the conclusion that the hardest job has to be that of a military Mom.
I know a few and can’t even imagine what they go through. At least a soldier is doing his job and can concentrate on that, but a Mom never stops being a Mom, wherever her child is. It’s got to be hard on a Dad too, but I give the Mom bonus points. lol
