Competing yes, winning, no.
The old Tiger would not have missed so many putts on the back 9. Even the old Tiger might not have beat Schwartzl’s 14 under.
According to his new coach all the effort was put into Tiger’s swing. Little attention to the putting.
Now that things are picture perfect with the swing the putting will get the necessary attention.
Tiger is back and it was electric to watch.
I give credit where it’s due. He showed up for an entire year knowing he didn’t have a chance. Faced the crowds, the media, and of course the haters.
The old Tiger would not have missed so many putts on the back 9.”
How many tourneys has Tiger won from behind? He’s back. The fairway wood on eight, the approah on 15 ... I’ve seen a lot of rounds when his putter failed him, but I think this was different. I think he was so excited that he was back, the adrenaline rush got him!
Schwartzel had a great day and deserves the win.
Tiger would have needed to shoot a 9 under par 63 (the course record I believe) just to tie him.
I’m not sure even the old Tiger could pull that off that easily.
Tiger does look like he’s back though.
This masters was a ton of fun to watch too.
I think 7 different golfers had a share of the lead at one time or another today.
Tiger is overhyped, (not overrated).
The analysts all say that the tournament begins on the back nine on Sunday.
Tiger’s back nine today was ordinary at best.
Schwartzel’s string of birdies on the final four holes to win the Masters was absolutely incredible.
The authors assertion that the young man from Northern Ireland folded because he was intimidated by Woods is absolute BS in my opinion.
The “old” tiger would have been in the last group and not have needed to make up 8 strokes on Sunday.
