Tiger turns in an amazing front nine. If it holds, could be one of the best come backs in a long time.
“He has God-given athletic ability.”
And hitting twenty million golf balls. I it ... “it’s God given.” BS.
Tiger is up there in his behavior with other horribly screwed up sports heroes, like Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle and all the others above whom you obviously tower, morally. They haven’t been pilloried, though. Wonder why?
Get over it.
Breaking News: Sex addict ties for lead at Masters!
“Breaking News: Sex addict ties for lead at Masters!”
Actually, it was posted under sports. The tie is not noteworthy, coming from six back at the Master’s is. Most true sports fans will appreciate that accomplishment, it’s pretty amazing. He’s playing a sport, not vying for canonization.
Not possible for Tiger to be doing so well.
Phil was going to be #1 and win every major.
Reported in the papers today that McIlroy carried on to the annoyance of the neighbors late last night. Guess he thought he had it won.
Maturity missing.
McIlroy self-destructed today. Hopefully, he’ll learn something.
As for Tiger, he’s not going to win it. I hope he gets his life turned around.
“In other words, most true sports fans will dismiss the importance of morality, integrity and character of an individual simply because of some athletic achievement.”
Yep.
Sporting News top all time ballplayer;
1 Babe Ruth
You could look it up. Why? Why him?
Cripes. #3 is Ty Cobb. Hmmmppppppppphhhhh.
Tiger is an anomaly in Golf, with the exception of John Daley, for sure. But it’s not unusual for the greatest in many endeavors to be the most flawed.
He still garners all the announcers' accolades and white-guilt replays/sound bites/etc. over, and over, and over.....to the tune of sickening.
He's back in the pack, now.
Are you certain about that? Reading some of the replies on this thread, I can't be sure.
Oh. To further answer your question, in case you have yet to realize it, people who make the pilgrimage to Augusta are usually more than just casual watchers of the game. Tiger got a real warm reception (including standing ovations) all the way around. He’s apologized, he’s kept his nose clean and he’s coughed up $50 million cash, not to mention the hundreds of millions in endorsement fees. Yet there is still venom. I wonder if there is something else at play?
If John Daley could stay sober long enough to find the course, or take some time off from brawling with one of his “girlfriends” in the street, everyone would be rooting for him. The Babe sure got off easy and he made Tiger look like a choir boy. At least Tiger wasn’t a public reprobate. I find it ... odd. Like there is something else that inspires hatred of Tiger.
“He’s back in the pack, now.”
Yep. There is some great golf being played out there.
Don’t like that cheat stick that Adam Scott is using.
Tiger who?
Tiger is just another golfer out there now.
Tiger who?
Woods. He’s a golfer.
Tiger - Tied as the 4th loser.
Tiger certainly cannot intimidate like he used to, earlier in his career the other golfers would have buckled under the pressure of knowing Tiger was after them, those days are over.
Schwartzel wins...as long as some America-hating Euro twit like Mcilroy doesn’t win, I;m happy.
I think he said, "Sure glad I was not chosen as a comacazzi pilot".
