A flock of ten flamingoes have met a brutal end at a zoo in Eskilstuna in eastern Sweden after a curious anteater broke into their compound and clawed them to death, leaving a further five birds nursing injuries.

Eskilstuna, Sweden. April 5, 2011.
He called himself Paul Revere of the Flamingos. Unfortunately, his cries of "Den Anteater Kommer!" failed to resonate with the flock.
Dead. Dead. They are all dead. But the flamingos are deader.
“Oh how sad to die when one is so young and cute!” Pogo.
Won't work. In my house, we live by a rule that my great-grandfather taught me:
One cat; one tail.
IMO (I'm a genetic Texan; it wouldn't be right for me to type "IMHO"), you're doing right by letting your son work on "stuff' for his project at his own pace.
Trust me, you don't want my screed on Eagle Scout projects/parental co-opting/most fourteen-year-old Eagles. I can screedificate at length.

See how excited I am about being part of this thread?
Did you see that? He moved.
I hate it when flamingoes fake their own deaths for the insurance money.
Double posting means you are a member in good standing on the Undead Thread.
Just remember when you’ve been here a while that double posts and typsos will be like second nature to you...:o])

I call it our *pre-wash* energy saver. ;D
We’re a *green* household.
On the Undead Thread, cats with multiple tails are far less weird than ... the other stuff.
Welcome aboard!
Hi!
We haven’t seen you in ever-so-long! You’ve been missed! (Count yourself lucky over that! LOL!)
Well thank you for that! I’ve kinda been keeping a low profile....doing more reading than posting. Have been trying to limit my time on the computer. I get so angry about things that I can’t sleep because those things just keep running through my head.
I am around a little bit every day and I DO keep tabs on you guys. :)
We rescued a dog this afternoon....It showed up on our property with a bleeding foot and lots of burs. While my son watched the dog, I drove around to see if anyone was out looking for it. No luck. They must have been at work.
It was very friendly, and obviously some one’s loved pet, so I tied it up, bandaged it's paw with polysprorin, some gauze, and some wrap I had left over from when Rush was hit by the motorcycle 3 years ago.
I thought about keeping it here until 6 or 7 pm, in case someone came looking for it, but I was worried about the bleeding, so we called By-Law. They picked it up about an hour later, and assured me they would have a vet look at the paw. Our old dog managed to get off her lead one time, and we found her at the Humane Society but it's an hours drive from here. I hated to do it.
I'll have to go up to the road a few times after 4 to see if the family that lost it is out looking for it.
What you said 'Face.
Double posts could also be a sign that I am lurking.
I’ve noticed that typos and such increase while I am lurking.
They did get married; the ring ceremony was the second half of the video. As for how it works out...yeah, I’m with you, but I’ve seen people beat the odds, before.
