Katy Perry is supposed to be on too. I read that Bruce Springstein caught up with them, too so maybe....
Hey kids!
Missed the show last night. Went out for a friend’s birthday. I still haven’t watched it either.
I went to dialidol which has Stefano in the bottom. Jacob was in the second top spot. ugh! Why oh why?!!!!!
I’ll read up here to see how you all think they did
That was Haley’s best performance to date, I think. My criticism of her was only that that unique “quality and tone” that her voice has, is only apparent when she is not belting. I wish the judges didn’t beg for belting all the time. I liked the first half of her song better because she was so earthy and that tone is so unique. Once she opens her mouth all the way and belts, she’s still good but not so unique.
Casey also actually was quite good. No grimaces, and you could actually appreciate his unique voice.
I cried all the way through Jacob’s song because I ALWAYS cry all the way through that song, even though my dad is still alive and well (thank G-d). I would cry through it even if it came on in a store in public. He had that little bobble at the start, and problems with his ear thing, but he kept right on, and I thought he did a great job. They NEVER were as hard on that blondie who always asked to start over, a few seasons ago. I thought they were too hard on Jacob. I realize he may be sent home tonight but I thought he did a good job on a great song, and he does have the chops similar to Luther.
James was indeed the best performance of the night. Everyone watching in our house loved it. He is so free and happy when he is singing - his plagues disappear. He’s a joy to watch, and he picked a good song.
Lauren still needs to grow, but she could do anything. She can branch out a bit more, and I think she has still not had a goosebump moment. I hope she gets her chance to.
Scotty was darling. I agree, safe song choice, but it was cute and he was lighthearted. Next week he should do a really melodramatic song and grab people with emotion. Just don’t pick a song about the end of a marriage or something unbelievable for a 17-year-old, Scotty. Pick something about a young broken heart.
My little Ricky is just where I thought he’d be - all over the place. He goes in and out of “feeling” the song. Good start, good end, but the bopping around and eye closing in the middle just lost me. My original plan was for him to go home tonight, but I don’t think that is the judges’ plan. They were practically packing Jacob’s bag for him last night.
You guys on the live thread will find out soon enough. We’ll tune in around 9 or 10 PST... I avoid the thread until after I see the show. Have fun.
Oh - I forgot to say - it was HORRIBLE to see Paul and the Loser Girls last night. I did wish I could vote them all off again! America got it right. Every last one of them was dead weight. (And who said on the thread last night that Paul sings like he’s had a tracheotomy? You KILLED me with that one!)
Well, all the boys will get to look at Katy Perry’s boobs. I can’t get over her fake smile though...
So far we have a shirt button and a Chik-Fil-A coupon for a free soft drink with sandwich :-D
Ah yes, Cookie!! LOVE the cookie!
What’s the name of that country show and when is it on?
Also that show the Voice starts next Tuesday I think
Hi, Net! :)
LOL!!! Great into to tonight, Jonny!! What a character. Who would win in an IQ test contest, Steven or Gary Busey? Both have serious brain damage, so it might be a tie!
See you later, alligator!
In the bottom three, packing its suitcase and getting ready to leave?
Hi, See-See!
Don’t say bottom too loud in front of Geraldine.
Oh wait. I'll fix that.
*slips Chik-Fil-A coupon into purse when no one is looking, adds another button*
Same for me too.
When they show the close up of Jacob with his yap wide open,,,it reminds me of the old actor Joe E Brown from years back......
*fingers crossed again*
Haha! Looks that hippy panda is still celebrating 420 day.
ZOWIE!
