Simple answer - we can’t.

A: By producing the intellectual property that the factory minions elsewhere in the world buy or license from us.

Value comes from ideas, these days.

Microsoft. Apple. Google. Oracle.

Even among big industrial concerns, the value of the idea is paramount.

Farmers buy tractors and combines in part based on the value of the software and sensors embedded in them. Did you know that fertilizers are applied by the square yard depending on whether last year’s combine reported poor yeilds for that square yard? Or that video cameras and a computer decide for each plant they view whether to spray an herbicide on that plant because it was identified as a weed?

Why aren’t people starving in the world anymore? Because we put more land into production? No. Because we Americans engineered more effective plants, and because our computing industry effectively eliminated rotting in the supply chain.

We can make stuff: Intellectual stuff.

You’re missing the point of this whole exercise which is to redistribute our wealth, not create more.

America doesn’t create wealth; Americans do. The distinction is important.

Why isn’t this one of the many main issues actively being attacked in Washington by the conservatives we voted in?

ultimatly all true created wealth comes from the land.

That is why the left is so hell bent on denying us energy development.

One can ask then why is the left not constricting Agric and food as much as energy-———because if they shut down energy they shut down Agric, transportation, construction etc....

Our energy policy is dictated to us by a element of the population similar in size and ideology as the Soviet Commies in 1920’s.......and they really do have a concrete plan.

Heard a very controversial presentation this morning on the radio...but the guy had a point and while it upset me to have to admit to agreeing with him, it left me with one thought...

Just look at the damage the liberals have done to our educational system, family system and ethics.

They guy basically was saying we no longer have the systems culturally to produce innovative leaders. That as America moves forward, in order to stay ahead of the globe, we will need to import the virtue of leadership.

While he ticked me off listening to him, it was the question and answer session afterward that brought to light what he was trying to say. And I think a few liberals got more ticked off than I did!

I chuckled as he talked about Me Inc. He sort of sounded like a character from Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.

Who among you is going to force my daughter into a manufacturing job when she prefers to create genetically targeted pharmaceuticals?

If you cannot bring yourself to use the force of government against my daughter, whose child are you going to use the force of government against, so that you get the talismanic manufacturing base you dictate?

In my humble opinion, the ONLY way to save America is simple: make it economically viable to host manufacturing companies in the USA.

That means we must do the following:

1) Overhaul our national taxation system so it encourages businesses to operate in the USA. This means going to the Steve Forbes flat income tax plan starting the current tax year and begin a process that will will starting the 2016 tax year end all income taxation in favor of a consumption tax like FairTax (H.R. 26/S. 13).

2) Overhaul our financial system far beyond what was done last year. This means re-imposing the 1933 Glass-Steagall Act, banning certain types of high-risk investments, increase the minimum margin requirements for trading stock, index and commodity futures to at minimum 15%, and begin a ten-year process to phase out the Federal Reserve Note fiat currency in favor of a new US dollar backed by a combination of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper and nickel (the most common metals used to make bullion blocks and coins used in monetary exchange).

3) Drastically simplify all regulations so there is a single national standard.

4) Audit every government agency at the Federal, state and local level for any overlaps in oversight and size bloat and use the audit results to cut down the size of government 30% now, with a realistic goal of 55-60% in 4-5 years.

Impose these four changes and the US economy will come roaring back in no time flat.
