MARK 13:32, But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, only the Father.
Now it gets interesting.....
Some believe the Son IS the Father (Jesus is God...there is only 1 Bible verse to back it up). If that were true, then the Son would know, since He is God Himself.
And why does the Son sit at the right hand of the Father....if they are one?
Bump for later reading. I was looking out my kitchen window this morning at my fig tree and thinking about the Lord. In Arizona we had a colder than normal winter season. Did’nt lose any leaves on that tree and it looks so beautiful right now compared to all the rest of the trees.
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. (1 Thes. 5:1-4)
There is a very good write up on the subject here Remember, scoffers are referred to in scripture also.
It’s easy to post Mark 13:32. Try reading it S_L_O_W_L_Y
In the scripture in Mt. 24:36 quoted above, the word “knoweth” is present tense. In that day, no man knew. Jesus did not say we would never know. He also said, “Watch.”
If we are not faithful and wise stewards, “The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (cut him off), and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers” (during the Tribulation). Mt. 24:51 has, “appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.”
