What does pole dancing have to do with Jesus Christ?
One fitness studio in Texas says everything which is why they have combined a unique workout routine with traditional worship on the second Sunday of every month.
While pole dancing as a form of exercise has surged in popularity recently, Pole Fitness for Jesus invites female church-goers to slap on a pair of high heels and dance around a pole to upbeat Christian music.
I decided to take the part that I liked about [exotic dancing] and bring it here, but its so much fitness, I dont teach women to be strippers, said Crystal Deans, former exotic dancer and owner/instructor of Best Shape of Your Life fitness studio outside Houston.
Deans offers the classes for free to women who bring in the bulletin from their Sunday church services but theres no prayer beforehand, and the walls of free of crosses or any other religious symbols.
Critics say the class is sacrilegious and goes against the teachings of the Bible.

Hmmmm, would SeeBS have done a similar story on Islam?
Rhetorical question of course.
Going, going, gone...
First there was Bong Hits 4 Jesus and now we have Pole Dancing 4 Jesus. What’s next?
Dear Lord.. Progressives eventually ruin everything they touch.
Pole Dancing for Jesus?
Does this thread belong in Chat? I’m thinking Religion.
Strippers/’exotic dancers’ are NOT fit/trim/thin because of pole dancing but rather because of of cocaine....hence the term: Coke Wh0re.
You can see lots of holeiness at a strip club.....

Pole dancing for Jesus shakes up Spring: Bearing the cross gets sexy

Taking a cue from Mary Magdalene, church-going ladies in suburban Spring are taking their Jesus-loving to the pole. It’s all part of the Pole Fitness for Jesus program that goes down every second Sunday of the month at Best Shape of Your Life studio, following the traditional church worship service.
The gym’s owner, Crystal Dean (a professional pole dancing alumna), believes she connects clients to God by directing them towards a more joyful life. During sessions, she spins “upbeat contemporary Christian music.” These women aren’t concerned about what their neighbors think of their avant-garde Holy Grail workout.
“God gives us these bodies and they are suppose to be our temples and we are suppose to take care of them and that’s what we are doing,” Dean tells KTRK Ch. 13. Participants have to bring a church program to gain admittance (and access to those transparent acrylic stilettos).
Let’s explore other promising “ . . . for Jesus” marketing campaigns.
* Prostituting for Jesus
* Paganism for Jesus
* Idolatry for Jesus
* Abortions for Jesus
* Vajazzling for Jesus
* SpiritHoods for Jesus
* Posing for Playgirl for Jesus
* Gay marriage for Jesus
* Clay Aiken for Jesus
* Defriending for Jesus
* Unfollowing for Jesus
* Eating KFC Double Downs for Jesus
* South Beach Diet for Jesus
What do you make of Pole Fitness for Jesus? Does it offend your religious beliefs? Does it make you wish you lived in Spring?
Is it possible that Crystal Dean’s Sunday is more fun than Rebecca Black’s “Friday”? Please share your thoughts.
Watch the KTRK report on Pole Dancing for Jesus:
“Kill a Commie for Jesus” pre-dates them both, doesn’t it?
People are insane these days.
Just an FYI.
I remember that Wilkerson had nude dancing as being part of church services in his book The Vision.
I had not believed such a thing was possible.
And now, here it is.
Our local news anchors started laughing so hard while narrating this video last night, the news station eventually had to just cut to a commercial... XD
Hmmmm....
Well, if there are only women in the class, and it keeps them in shape?? Who cares.. maybe they’ll go home and dance a bit for their husbands and breed a few more little Christians.
I could see some controversy, if they were holding the class in a church or something, but they aren’t. So, why is this controversial? No one is forced to attend.. and a church that doesn’t like it can politely decline to allow her ad in their bulletin.
Seems to me, this is a non starter.
This article is very poorly written. It is implied that the exercise studio is holding a “traditional church service,” but then it says not, only “upbeat Christian music” while pole-dancing.
What a poor excuse for exercise that is, anyway.
INDEED. SIGH.
You are correct that it was poorly written, but it was done this way with a purpose. It is simply CBS's way of slandering Christianity. Exercising to Christian Music is not a sin.
What’s next, ‘gay’ porn stars for Jesus?
Good one!
