Could be the clean copper clapper from a closet that kleptomaniac Claude Cooper from Cleveland copped.

“The finder ... may get to keep it if Russia does not want it back
pardon f’’’cking me? Come and get it.”
No its true. There’s actually a treaty between us and the Russians (and Kazakstan) that if stuff comes down you have to given it back. When we launch out of Baikonur the Russians supply big choppers and crew for disaster recovery if necessary.

Do you hear any sounds if you put your ear next to it? Ticking, purring, or burbling sounds?

Does look like an older pressurant tank, being metal with the lovely aerospace weld. Most pressurant tanks now are composite overwrapped.
Another possibility is hydrazine fuel tank for ACS thrusters, used on Briz M upper stage, also Briz KM - like the one that dumped GEO-IK-2-11 into a bad orbit on 1 Feb.
In which case, not a good idea to open it. Nasty stuff...

I'll pass on the warning about hydrazine.
From a couple other photos, there appears to be a pipe stub broken off, and a pipe plug opposite.
Another person reported seeing a meteor breaking up the previous night, maybe there are other parts yet to be found.

NASA stated we have a treaty with Russia, we return theirs and they return ours My treaty says finders keepers.

First photo looks like my white pumpkin that I finally threw out the other day. I knew my arm was strong, but not that strong.
On second look, it is probably a toilet float ball from one helluva large toilet. Don’t want to see who used one that size.
