I recently watched a video of actress Susan Sarandon being interviewed at the protest in Wisconsin. Susan bravely cheered for solidarity, decried plutocracy in America and she spoke out about those horrible, greedy people known as The Wealthy.
Of course, I naturally thought she was talking about HERSELF. After all, Susan Sarandon has been a famous movie star for many decades, and I was pretty sure she had accumulated quite a bit of money.
But no, apparently The Wealthy Sarandon spoke of was Wisconsins Governor Scott Walker (or as she called him, idiot Walker).
It takes a lot of courage and conviction and solidarity to make this work, Ms. Sarandon said, sporting a chic military-style jacket and hat. Very protest-y.
Being a Christian Conservative and obviously not as intelligent as someone like Susan Sarandon (aka Janet from Rocky Horror Picture Show), I was confused. Unless Sarandon recently lost all her movie star money, how can she pretend to be one of us regular people? Come to think of it, I had assumed all the movie stars, directors and politicians who constantly spout their anti-America/anti-capitalism venom were very, very rich.

Why does everyone throw Gwyneth Paltrow in the bunch? I have never heard her say anything at all about anything. I mean she definitely came from a family that valued marriage....her Mom was married to her father until his death and it was the first for both of them. Gwyneth at least up to this point has stayed married to her first and only husband. Yes she did name her child Apple which is weird but that was really the only thing I can think of that is a bit strange. I have never heard an interview where she bashed America, or anything for that matter.
Michelle Malkin and even NBC reported on her nasty comments...

Oh my. That is not really bashing America. All the military say the same thing here in Italy. Life is simpler and the buildings are older. I think this is a huge stretch to call her anti-American. I also love the food here in Italy too.....I bet I would be in huge trouble if someone heard me say that.
Oh yeah. Italian food? Fuggedaboutit.
You missed this...
“”I love the English lifestyle, it’s not as capitalistic as America. People don’t talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner,” Paltrow said in a 2006 interview with NS, the weekend magazine supplement of daily Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias. “I like living here because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.””
If that’s not bashing America I don’t know what is...The woman is trying her damnest to fit-in with the Fabians of today - same as the old crew. And I love the way they throw out the word ‘capitalist’ like it was a contamination. I grew up in Europe...most are decent people and then there are those who think the rest of us are intellectually inferior...they’re the kind that are into selective breeding.
Susie is still fighting with her mommy, who is conservative. Hey, Susie get over it already. You are supposed to be an adult.
With all the special effects they use, acting takes even less talent.
I can’t believe whoopi didn’t make the list...
yes, thats the Firesign Theatre album you’re thinking of. “Don’t crush that dwarf, hand me the pliers.’’
