What, there isn’t enough news with Japan, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and unions that the AP has to pen a story about this fossil??

If it sounds too good to be true, that’s because it probably is too good to be true.

Tie an anchor to his neck and throw him in Lake Wobegon.

I don't care to much if he runs his mouth and even gets paid for it. He'll probably write a book or go on a college tour, no big deal. It pisses me off when people like him run his mouth and get paid with tax payer dollars.

And as a Non-fan of National Propaganda Radio station WGAS (who gives a sh*t) - I’ll miss Keillor not one iota.

If he stays on his present God-hating course, he will retire to a hot griddle in h-e-double-toothpicks, smoking a dog turd.

You’d think the guy would have retired before decomposition set in, but one look at his mug will tell you that it’s too late for that.

How about 3/18/11? Who could have found this guy but NPR?

Keillor pulled this stunt 15-20 years ago. Left for Denmark or some such with great flourish .... only to crawl back to the NPR mike months later.

Hope he means it this time.

He has a face made for radio.

Incidentally -- he's not using a world-class intellect and creativity to weave those tales of Lake Wobegon: most of the things are pastiches of *real life* in Minnesota, from times past through the present day.

Yeah, it's boring; but it's safe, and for those who love the snow, you can't beat the weather.

Cheers!

I usually enjoy his show, he has a lot of bluegrass artists on there and I like Dusty and Lefty. Guy cannot sing for carp, even embarrasses me when he tries to share a mic with some of his guests.

One of two NPR shows I try to catch, Car Talk being the other one.

But he won't be missed by that many people, and he is a weird looking dude. Reminds me of Michael Moore somehow.

Oh, believe me, I know what side of the political divide that bastid is on. I’ve heard his drivel and I think he sucks. But I mean hey, he had Brad Paisley on recently, and I’ve heard Leo Sayer and lots of other good music acts on there over the years.

I don’t listen for his wisdom, I got hooked on his musical guests a couple of decades ago.

I’ll bet I can get 50 CDs of my faves for what they take out of my paycheck every year to fund that show along. I’m on yer side SG. Carson Weillor can go to hell for all I care, the music will live on.

Your tagline has emboldened me to swap my tagline, again.

Perhaps I should have said, "shot in A creek." LOL.

Around this house, we quote lines from Tombstone like some folks used to quote "The Godfather" lines.

I’m not a metal-head by any means, but I just happened to hear that song on the radio yesterday morning and it struck a chord with me.
