IMO Helen Thomas, like Barack Obama is undeserving of empathy, or sympathy, or whatever. They are examples of bad people with disproportionately loud voices and are doing grave injury, or enable others who are doing injury, to things I value highly.
And there's nothing I can do about it except hoot from the peanut gallery. That should not bother you so much.
