Easy one - The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
As well as the Steinbeck novel, Communist agitprop.
Oh, and A Clockwork Orange (1971). That sucked too.
Yes! “The Grapes of Wrath” was one of the greatest to me (We lived a lot of that in our real life)!
Of course most every John Wayne’s was a classic! (If I had to chose a favorite it would be “The Searchers” and/or “True Grit”)
Gary Cooper in “Sergeant York” and “Vera Cruz”
Jimmy Stewart in “Its a Wonderful Life” and many, many others.
In the later movies; “Decoration Day” with James Gardner etc.
And “Driving Mrs. Daisy” plus “Return to Boundifull”
I'd heard about that movie for years, and finally saw it about 20 years ago. My first thought was that it was a union recruiting film. Subsequent viewings haven't changed that notion.
