Perhaps the greatest sport on earth....

Kaisa Makarainen of Finland takes 1st place, Magdalena Neuner of Germany takes 2nd place, Helena Ekholm of Sweden takes 3rd place during the IBU Biathlon World Championships Women's 10km Pursuit on March 6, 2011 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

Thanks for posting these pictures. It was truly a great race. A fantastic competition in abyssmal conditions which really taxed the competitors. To shoot a full score in those gushing winds was just astounding.

Certainly one of the toughest sports on earth. Hitting the target when your heart rate is through the roof.

Used to love x-c skiing back in the day. Takes a lot of lungs.
