Most kids might hope to get an Xbox or an iPod Touch for their 10th birthday. Brennan Daigle got a reception from a formation of soldiers, a ride in a camouflaged National Guard Humvee--and induction as an honorary member of the Army.

What a great kid, recognizing real heroes when he sees them, instead of admiring rock stars and such.

Spouse walked in while I was wiping my eyes and was immediately concerned. He asked why I was crying. I told him that my boyfriend had broken up with me.
He kind of cocked his head and said, “You are reading something about military wonderfulness, aren’t you?” And then gave me a big hug.
We’ve been married over 41 years, guess he knows me very well.
His next wish should be to shoot some of the vermin in the Yahoo comments section.
Regardless, what an awesome gift.
