WEST PALM BEACH, FL (CNN) - The search continues for a bobcat that attacked a Florida woman this week.

A man on Friday spotted an animal, believed to be the same bobcat the bit the woman in the leg.

The woman was attacked at her home on Thursday, and her husband came to the rescue.

"It came from the neighbor, jumped his fence, came across the road, bit my wife by the mailbox, jumped my fence, came under here, got my puppy, came in my garage, and attacked my puppy again. I hit it with a four-by-four, and then a broom," Rick Arnold said.

The victim got a series of rabies shots at a hospital, and is now back at home.

I live on a lake in a rural area in SC. A few years ago one of my neighbors had a Bobcat try to get in her house. She and her 14 year-old daughter held the door closed while it tried to claw it’s way in. Dad got home just in time (from a hunting trip) and was able to take care of it. Autopsy results concluded it was rabid.

Is that what they're calling it now? Modern slang, it's just so inventive.

I must be getting old, I just can't keep up with it all, lol.

A family of four live on my airpark.
Pretty brazen too, a few weeks ago they walked across the runway and one stopped in the middle of it and sat and licked itself for about three minutes without a care in the world.

Oh man, yeah I don’t think you’d know before those fangs were chomped down in your flesh.

I was camping down in Big Bend NP one time. Early in the morning I stopped by the road to take some photos, and I’m sorta standing there admiring my camping and photography prowess, and all of a sudden “SCREEEEEEEOOWWWWWL!” A bobcat launched out of the brush not 10 feet from where I was and bounded off through the desert at top speed. I mean it took me a solid 60 seconds to be able to move again, and probably 10 minutes to get my heart rate back to normal. I had no idea he/she was sitting right there. I came close to needing fresh underwear, buddy buddy buddy.

Boy that’s a big cat. I see how people can mistake them for mountain lions.

The guy said it “bit my wife by the mailbox”. I’ve heard it called a lot of different names but I’ve never heard it called a “mailbox”.

Well... the Florida panther was cross bred with a cougar due to low population several years ago.

We have bobcats down below our house. I guess they hide and lick their chops when we’re outside. - Our dogs boss the bobcats; and our cat, the slasher, would “cut” them. The bobcats run in packs down by the river, and our dogs run down the hill barking in a very loud, low, authoritarian sort of way.

LOL, little kitty just wanted a hotdog snack and everyone made a big deal out it.

truthfully I have hunted all my life and I have only seen one of those cats, in the wild. It ran across the road in front of my pickup. Jumped upon a fence post looked around and then ran off. It was one beautiful animal.
