As your example above shows, a citizen would be well within their constitutional rights to go armed inside the courthouse --- but, you'd better be prepared to go through all sorts of hell to defend that right, should you do so

I'm quite tempted to do so for a municipal or county courthouse, especially as the State Constitution also says: "No county or municipality shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms."

Just to give myself a bit more ammunition.

Looks like New Mexico's got a damn fine constitution. I need to read the corresponding sections of the Texas state constitution.

Is New Mexico also an open carry state? Can you carry concealed without a permit? Just curious.
