Cans filled with the aroma of cow farts are proving a big hit with shoppers - despite costing £5 a tin.
Tins filled with the air sucked out of an ageing wooden stable, straw lined and filled with gas producing cattle has become an instant hit after it went on sale in Germany.
Managers of the 'Countryside air to go' project say their clients are mainly country people who have moved to the city and want to be reminded of home.
The cans cost £5 a pop and can be ordered from the web site www.stallduft.de
One advert boasts: 'Simply put your nose to the tin and peel back the lid for the authentic smell of the country'.
Designer Daniela Dorrer from the village of Adlkofen in Bavaria in Germany said: 'We hope to make people who miss the countryside happy and remind them of home.

We have that authentic smell of the country from the nearby dairy farms all the time and I’d pay to not get it, but we have no choice.

One can go to Tillamook, Oregon and get all of the cow fart smells one wants for free...if one can stand it.

There’s a town, Coalinga, off I-5 in the San Jaoquin Valley in California. It has an enormous factory cattle farm, and the stockyards are right up against the freeway. The smell will nearly make you pass out. I have not the words to describe how bad it is.
After the first time you drive past it, you will NEVER forget to shut off the air vents in your car when you’re about to approach it again. The landmarks will be burned forever into your memory. I mean it, the entire HVAC system must be turned OFF.

It’s true. It’s a paid cow protester thug. They ain’t got no principles nohow when it comes to cow fart protests.
Cow gas got rights too. (Not really, but thug cows are paid to say so with taxpayer money for as long as they can get away with it.)
Yeah, even though it’s cute, it’ll probably camp out in a nice clean barn and turn it into an ocean of cow flops, and it’ll damage the walls to the tune of seven megabucks.
