For those of you who watched IDOL this evening, were you shocked on who the final ten were?,and then even more shocked on who were picked for the three wild card spots? It was bad enough that two of the best female singers didn't make the top then, and then to add insult to injury,Randy,Jenifer&Steve chose the two black female singers of whom were the least impressive of the six wild card contestants. It was so obvious that the judges were more concerned that they would of been declared racists if they didn't have at least one black female singer amongst the final 12. This will likely come back to haunt them. Let's just wait and see who gets eliminated first.
Your first mistake. There are hundreds of great books you haven't read. Why?
I am doing well. I am at the Naval Air Station in Sigonella. However, I will finish in April and retire from the Navy after 24 years. Can hardly believe I have been in that long. lol. I have my retirement ceremony 8 April which is keeping me busy with getting everything done. I think that the reception will be a good time. It is always a pleasure to see you here. I am looking forward to getting back to the states after being in Korea and Sicily for six years. Take care and have a great weekend!!!!
I think the right people were selected as finalists. I might have traded Stefano for Jovany, but even that would have been a close call. I don’t think any of the wildcard picks have a realistic shot at winning.
I do NOT like the girl that keeps singing in Spanish that got picked. This is American Idol, not Spanish Idol. I don’t like Naima whatever her face is; she’s a muslim and I don’t like the idea of promoting that to anyone, particularly young people.
Kendra and/or Lauren should have been picked on the girls side. I like all the guys; Casey is fantastic.
Guess thats another reason I don't watch it.
That was my first thought.
I can't think of anything either--and I have Adonis DNA! :)
in my opinion, only one of the female singers who did not make it to the final 12 actually deserves to be there... of the female wild card picks, i think the judges chose the best ones... especially Ashton... i am glad she is a final contestant... i do think that they should have gone with all three girls from the wild card round and ditched the one guy they chose from the wild card... my faves made it... Thia (she’s a Central Valley CA gal—lives 5 miles from where i live)... Lauren Alaina and Ashton Jones... of the guys i like Casey Abrams and Paul McDonald... Jacob Lusk is really good, but he cries too much for my taste...
Kendra bored me... but i do think she should have been chosen over the guy...
i watched Idol last night... and i am currently studying The Summa Theologica... in Latin... and reading The Odyssey with my sons--who are studying Greek and Latin...
Stefano is in. He was J-Lo’s wild card pick.
Nea, I like the way you think. Naima’s performance last night was off the charts! But then, Donny Hathaway is dear to my heart. Naima chose a special song and I understand and agree with Steven picking her. We’d like to see what else she can do.
I don’t understand Randy picking Ashton. She has very little to offer. It may have been a race thing. It looked like none of the black girls were going to make it. LOL.
IMO, Lauren Turner should have been in the Top 10. Hello, America? Strong, bluesy voice, good performer. They are all fearless on stage.
I liked Karen Rodriguez until she started the “latino power” thing. She has a great voice but making it about ethnic identity completely ruins it. This is AMERICAN idol.
My favorite of the ladies is Haley...:)
I do not get it about Casey at all, can do without him.
Are you sure Naima is muslim? I wondered about that....
I am glad. I am also glad that Brett did not make it. He was too dramatic. Seems like a nice kid but too dramatic. Perhaps Broadway might be his better bet.
All those who never watched American Idol please raise their hand.
HAND RAISED here
My wife and I used to run the middle school talent show when she taught middle school in california. Maybe that's why she watches AI and I watch along with her since my FReeping computer is in the same room. ;0)
The first of the affirmative action picks got the old heave ho. The libs must be scratching their collective heads.
