Damn. And I was ready to bite.
usb?
I'll take it and forego the flash and SD Card slot, and even endure Steve Jobs' need to keep control of every little app out there. It is fantastic. Even the new cover is cool.

This was supposed to be a minor update. I’m going to skip a generation and buy the iPad 3.
Love the iPad 1. And the iPad 2 looks good.
BTW, give up on waiting for flash. It will never have it and, frankly, I wish flash would just go away and HTML 5 take off.
A vast majority of sites I visit use Flash. There’s really no avoiding it.
Xoom can read Flash.
You won’t find a bigger Apple fan than me, but no Flash is a deal-breaker for the main tasks I’d look for in a tablet.
Flash? Not gonna happen. SD card port? Would have been nice, although it introduces usability problems, but you can get an adapter. I’m interested to see what Apple put in that A5 chip vs. the latest Tegra.
BTW, this shows one of Apple’s strengths. They didn’t just roll out new hardware, but also new software to go with it. It’s the whole ecosystem that makes it great. It’s not going to be matched by generic tablets with basic Android slapped on them.

“So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause.”
Wow, the battery is incredible on mine. I usually can go a week without recharging unless I’m doing a lot of video.
The one thing that irked me about uPad 1 was the relative lack of books in iBook. But they just added 10s of thousands of new books this morning and signed a half dozen new publishing houses.
Flash will never happen on an Apple mobile device. Xoom and Playbook run fine with it ... but 99% of the other “iPad killers” flopped badly with Flash making them slog to a standstill.
No FaceTime on Verizon cellular network. at&T GSM only.
Do you know anything, good bad or ugly, about the Alienware m11x model laptop? If so, FReepmail me. Thanks.
It has nothing to do with political liberty. You are free not to buy it.
I was really, really impressed with Garageband today. Looks like they are moving iLife to the iPad!
The Skyfire browser app will allow you to view Flash content on your iPhone and iPad.
I watched streaming coverage of our local news weather during a severe weather event last week on Ustream using Skyfire.

I avoid flash all the time. If a company/website wants to rely on it, then they don’t want my hits/business.
Don’t miss flash. I really don’t. And it is a major resource hog.
iPad ping
Yea, the 8 track recording and editing... Not to mention all the available instruments.
Your kid can hook his guitar into it, and play to his hearts content with the headphones. mom and dad can enjoy peace and quiet.
My husband is also totally frustrated with his iPad not having flash.
If I paid for cell service on the notion that I would get video calling, I would be very angry. I have video calling on my Evo, but when on a 3G network, it is very crappy, and when on a wifi, it is just ok. There is no 4G on the iPad (or on the Xoom right now), so having video calling over cell network is really not a big deal.
