That is so sweet, Dubya!

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.

The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks.

Curious I pinned a note to his collar, 'I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'

The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar, 'He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 and he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?'

Old Is When:

Your friend compliments you on your
new alligator shoes and you're barefoot.

A gorgeous babe catches your fancy and
your pacemaker opens the garage door.

You don't care where your spouse
goes, just as long as you don't have to go along.

You are cautioned to slow down by
the doctor instead of by the police.

"Getting lucky" means you find your
car in the parking lot.

I do like to cook. Desserts are my forte, but I love doing small dinner parties for 6 to 8 people, and Chicken Tetrazinni is one of my favorite dishes to serve.

One day while driving with my then 4 year old daughter Melanie, I beeped the horn by mistake.

She turned and looked at me for an explanation.

I said “I did that by accident.”

She replied “I know that....’cause you didn’t say JERK afterwards!”

Billie, I LOVE chicken Tetrazinni! Here is a link to a recipe very much like the one I make - but I top mine with PANKO bread crumbs, (lightly sprayed with Olive oil ‘Pam’ spray), for the crunchy topping:

The day has been long...but it was a good one! Just got home from the daughters and that always wears me out with the grandkids and g-grandbaby. I love them dearly but I'm getting past the point of spending the entire evening with them...lol.
