This reminds me of the movie “Idiocracy” which I am beginning to think is more of a documentary than a comedy

I guess I should be sorry I miss a young girl speaking like a marine to his buddies in a foxhole.

NOT! Can’t stand watching idiots act like idiots!

There are a diminishing number of adults in American culture. I don't see the tide turning any time soon.

There are pockets of real culture that can be found, but what we call "pop culture" -- the stuff that generates millions and millions of dollars -- is crap and will emain crap. Perhaps it was not always true, but for today, this is a very true statement: "Crap sells".

With the internet getting ever more bandwith available, Hollywood is starting to become a relic. They’re like an old has-been actor who still thinks he’s far more important than he is.

In the meantime, more than half the voters are over 50. The young and hip are in for a surprise.

Poor Kirk Douglas - he overcomes all of his physical problems, his advanced years & still manages to be funny and entertaining while bringing a little greatness of Hollywood’s past - and then some nobody reminds us why most of America considers Hollywood a pigstye by dropping the F bomb.

“The King’s Speech” wiped the floor with “The Social Network”. That’s an indication that the adults haven’t totally given up.

Most of the drug-laden hollyweird types need to be told, "You're not your Father's 'movie stars'.".

Hollywood is a living example of a "mutual admiration society", a circular firing squad of phoniness and immaturity.

I haven't been in a movie theatre since "Top Gun" was released, and have no desire to go there.

The youth culture will eventually throw todays stars to the curb for a younger bunch..

So few movies I want to see are made today ... I actually like the Disney animations.. how sad is that ??

At present they have done all they can to push the culture envelope. Same sex stories, denigrating christians, dumbing down the white male. The next step is the seemless merging of porn into the mainstream cinema.

James Franco had to be high. No other explanation. What a contrast between the whooping adolescent clotheshors Anne Hathaway and the stupefied Franco. That was about the only entertainment last night other than seeing his Royal Firthness receive his just rewards. Wait...there was Hope and Crystal. I bet most of the audience wanted him to stay.

People dumb enough to watch Obama TV deserve to be treated like the morons that they are.

Simple solution - pull the plug and opt out of Obama TV. Quit The Matrix.

Anne Hathaway is very easy on the eyes, but she looked out of place in front of a live audience (only one take allowed)... I didn't watch the whole broadcast, but caught one segment that was cringe-inducing... she was standing there looking pretty when she messed up a line ... she actually said something about "flubbing" a line... ouch.

Where's Johnnie Carson or Bob Hope when you need them?

Until writers understand the concept of “begging the question”, they should stop using the phase. Whenever I encounter examples of such sloppy writing and thinking, I quit reading - the person obviously has nothing to tell me...

This article is making a rather generalized assumption that “classic” old actors are better or somehow more “moral” than today’s actors. The truth is that, actors, generally speaking, have always tended to lack any sort of moral compass. There are always exceptions and my hat is off to those men who served our country during wartime.

Hollywood has become a caricature of itself. I don’t believe anyone there has had an original thought in 20 years and I rarely go to see a film in a theater anymore. The kids go so they can hang out with each other and the movies are being made for kids.

Waste of time to watch a bunch of self-absorbed idiot elitists pat each other on the back. Besides, I can never think about the Oscars the same after seeing the “Porn Awards” scenes in “Boogie Nights”, which so ironically nailed the patheticness of the Oscars.
