It never ceases to amaze me what doesn't make it into the media here......
It would have been, but the story broke on the same day that President Obama appointed a gay social secretary, so the domestic papers ran with that story instead.

Yet another American badass chooses to continue serving. A REAL American hero.
I wanted to return to my men, he told ABC News.
The fact is they never quit on me, and I wasn't going to give up my fight and quit.
I can’t believe he passed the physical. I am serious. They are pretty tough on folks for simple things and this hero gets to go with huge health issues. Good for him. I am only surprised that is all.
He is missing one eye, the roof of his mouth and can barely eat or drink and his name is Captain Skelton? Interesting to say the least.
Actually, I think this warrior hero should stay home. This President and administration isn’t worth risking his life for any more. He should rest easy, we’ll take care of getting rid of this asshole come 2012. There isn’t a need to try to work through the pain and anguish of dealing with ridiculous ROEs and other administration insults.. He’s given up enough.
Um...what?!?
Incredible.
God bless this man and his loved ones. We know why it doesn’t appear in any papers.
Patriotism, manhood and sheer guts is to the media as the cross is to a vampire.
...graduated from West Point military academy in New York where he allegedly illegally jumped off a 900-ft high bridge in a daredevil stunt. His other achievements include completing 465 gruelling hours of punishment tours, which is one hour of walking back and forth with a rifle, and personally body-piercing the entire women’s soccer team.
Assuming that even at West Point there are at least a few reasonably attractive young women on the women’s soccer team...“Lucky Mongo” it is.
Who says academy grads can’t still be badasses?
What a mensch.
Wow! What an inspiring story.
Am puzzled by this, though, in the piece:
His other achievements include completing 465 gruelling hours of punishment tours, which is one hour of waling back and forth with a rifle, and personally body-piercing the entire women’s soccer team.
I assume “waling” is just a typo where “walking” should be. But the rest of the sentence...?!
