Dems have been running away from reality for years. Does the WI debacle really surprise you?

"Promise Everything!" dems are now hiding out in Illinois rather than face the results of their years of running away from reality. Are you surprised by this? Will the Tea Party demonstrations tomorrow have any effect?

Not sure but I will be there. My sign will read: Wisconsin is out of cheese.

Oh hell no, it’s just one of many signs that the 30 year drunken orgy of overconsumption and unsustainable economics is coming to an end.

I thought most schools operated zero tolerance programs. If minor aged students are required to follow rules or face suspension or expulsion, each of the teachers who have called in sick for three days and can’t produce doctors notes should be considered resigned.
Their unemployment benefits should be held as well.
What better way to stress the importance of following rules to impressionable students, than by showing the consequences they will soon encounter in the real world.

Here’s a question: The unions take in enough money to fund demonRAT campaigns to the tune of millions of dollars. Certainly, their members must know this. Why aren’t the union members asking the union “leaders”, how come THEY aren’t backing up the promises made by earlier pols that cannot be kept now? Why aren’t they asking THEM to support the members benefits? They are certainly rich enough.

Fire ‘em like Reagan did with the air traffic controllers. I guarantee there will be no shortage of teachers’ applicants.

Keep the teachers; fire the directors.

I like how the cry is always to “Save our teachers, firefighters, police...” Never anything about saving the DMV clerk, building inspector or insurance commissioner.

And I’m sick of hearing how much they “sacrifice” - SHEESH! My kids and I had to sacrifice, too.

What surprises and delights me is that the governor is carrying a big stick. Here in Oregon, the public service unions control EVERYTHING. Teacher’s union will be negotiating for raises in June, will get them, and there won’t even so much as a whimper from the residents of the state.

There is a 1.1 - 1.0 relationship of teachers vs. assistants & directors. For every teacher there is an assistant or a director.

The public schools are like the post office; they have to take all the packages no matter how they are wrapped. Don’t dismiss the term “sacrifice” out of hand. Walk a mile, as the saying goes.

The teachers I know don’t have a problem with the proposed concessions.
