Heres the story:
We cant control the weather, Julie Vitek said in an interview from company headquarters in Houston, Texas. Were looking to see if we can cope with it more effectively, through the testing of a couple of techniques.
She says the conditions in northern New Brunswick have wreaked havoc on the wind farm this winter.
For us, cold and dry weather is good and thats whats typical in the region. Cold and wet weather can be a problem without any warmer days to prompt thawing, which has been the case this year.
This weather pattern has been particularly challenging.

h/t to a whole bunch of WUWT readers, TomRude being the first.
Talked to a friend that used to work for the power company this week. He said we never did buy power from Mexico during our rolling blackouts. We have the ability, but supposedly the bureaucrats couldn’t come to an agreement.
Hamster cages x12 = wind power?
Sorry the article stated 12 emplyees. Surely they have a backup plan.
last week there was a FR link to a recent Australian publication ...a 110 page pdf file that dealt with sunspots, global cooling and other issues...a great and comprehensive presentation...full of graphs and charts....
I lost the link...anyone can post it...?
thanks in advance.
I think you mean it will thaw them. If you de-thaw you refreeze them.
Because wind is free, abundant and doesn't have to be transported - in theory. Besides wind is much nicer than that old black, smoky coal. Is that racist?
Oh.
Sorry to hear that.
If you can't control the weather, how do you imagine you are going to control the climate? Which, as I enjoy reminding as many students as possible, is most commonly defined as: the composite or generally prevailing weather conditions of a region, as temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, sunshine, cloudiness, and winds, throughout the year, averaged over a series of years.
In fact all they need is to use a proper lubricant for that crap. Modern chemistry does wonderful things.
For those of us, who have been around a few decades during the Green BS years of alternative energy, this is a typical story/reality of their wet green dreams.
Those of us here in the Bay Area can remember the huge windmill that PG&E erected in Cordelia on a hilltop. It convinced them that they didn't want to venture into that boondoggle.
Small turbines are practical for individuals in remote areas that don't get enough sun for solar to be reliable on its own, but on a large scale wind power is guaranteed to be unfeasible.
Global warming is tough all over!
>> “They probably dont even comprehend the irony of the statement.” <<
.
Liberals don’t have to comprehend; just innovate in a vacuum.
The problems are obviously not physically insurmountable, but the solutions are likely costly enough to make the installation unfeasible.
Oops....
>> “Its probably why I prefer a gas grill” <<
.
Yes, mercaptans add such wonderful flavor to a steak...
(get a log!)
Have your eyes been soaring lately?
That can make them sore!
.
In which case it becomes doubly more expensive.
Here’s laugh you will like!
