TCM Classic Movie Alert!

(Just trying an idea out on The Big Broadcast ping list. Let me know if this is a bother.)

I wish I had seen your post earlier. I love this movie. Wasn’t it remade later with June Allyson?

I think it’s a great idea. So often there’s nothing worth turning the TV on to watch. And, when there is, I find out about it after the show .. so please do add me to your ping list for these classics.

Excellent idea!

Matter of fact, I bought one of my favourite movies from their Website---The Enchanted Cottage (Robert Young, Dorothy McGuire, Herbert Marshall---about a socialite who goes to World War II on the near-eve of his wedding, after renting a run-down but rustic New England cottage for their honeymoon, and returns disfigured and embittered until he finds a companion in the cottage's lonely, plain caretaker . . . and they both discover just what's so enchanted about the cottage's legend. Marshall damn near steals the show as the blind pianist who befriends them, and Mildred Natwick is a low-keyed charm as the haunted cottage owner.)

I have watched it at least half a dozen times.

Great film!

Oh, if you have a classic movie ping list, please put me on it. My wife and I have grown to LOVE older movies. Anything newer than the 60s is suspect.
