On whether the United States should have been giving foreign aid to President Mubarak: Over 30 years of standing by Mubaraks side and he essentially standing with America on a lot of our interests it makes sense that we have a reciprocal relationship but no it is not moral or ethical. We are watching Mubarak and realizing the billions of dollars that have been spent, hes become rich, a lot of the dictatorship has personally benefited. So where do those funds end up? We need to pull back on those countries where the money isn't doing any good."

Popcorn.
She has no idea what she’s talking about.
Yep. But Zone 7 is on track.
That money from the U.S. was one of the major reasons that there have been 30 years of peace in the MidEast between Egypt and Israel. Sometimes practicality has to set in.
The day I hear Obama talk about cutting foreign aid to countries who aren’t toeing our line, I’ll agree with you.
She’s right but the world aint perfect. When all the options are bad you make lemonade.
She’s no where close to be as wrong as Obama. For you to say that shows just how confused you are.
Sounded pretty spot on to me... Billions to prop up a ruthless dictator... not exacty a great return on our money either.. I may have to start liking her after all. Well maybe...
What are you talking about?
Her answers were right on.

Then again I don’t believe anything in TIME magazine
She’s dead bang on right. Only morons would consider her ‘confused’ as President George Waahington said almost exactly the same thing over 200 years ago.
Sheesh. She needs some new advisers.
Our dollars bought stability for the Suez Canal. A military NOT inclined to attack Israel. A military that kept the muslim brotherhood in check.
Sarah sarah sarah, you ought to know better.
Sure. The same argument Carter made about the Shah. ANd the communists make about Pinochet.
Seems like she’s working her way to Reagan’s position, where he had and funded allies—but also regularly spoke out on human rights.
Here is what she really said.
Over 30 years of standing by Mubaraks side and he essentially standing with America on a lot of our interests it makes sense that we have a reciprocal relationship but no it is not moral or ethical. We are watching Mubarak and realizing the billions of dollars that have been spent, hes become rich, a lot of the dictatorship has personally benefited. So where do those funds end up? We need to pull back on those countries where the money isn’t doing any good.”
ROFL
I was trying to make sense of it all. It must have been the wording.
I ask, where is Mubarak now? How much is Mubarak worth? Did American taxpayers create that worth including his retreat?
