South African Mike Mike travels around the world taking pictures of faces and combining them in hi-tech composites. He calls the ongoing project The Faces Of Tomorrow.

The African-American woman stands for ALL American women now?

An early study claims that we associate attractiveness with symmetry. If half the women have noses that bulge to the left, and the other half have noses that bulge to the right, then on average we will see perfectly symmetrical noses. Likewise for other features.

It may turn out that the "average" person is the most attractive only because the "average" is perfectly symmetric.

Either Swiss women like to stand closer to the camera or their heads are about a third longer than Italian women.

The stereotypical possibilities are endless!

I have always liked Korea. But the Philippines is more afforable. lol.

Random thoughts:

Ms. Uzbek is rather lovely.

The Russian “average” seems very spot on. Very similar facial features to the Russian women I’ve known.

The Chinese composite, I’m not as sure about. Most of the women I saw in China tended to be darker-skinned and had different features. Part of it may be that the composite is effecting western-style makeup and hair, which didn’t seem to be very common when I was there (early 90’s).
