I shall never buy again from ding dong dell. Their tech support really sucks. “Peggy” is 1000 times better. I am stopping before I really get going. This is IMHO of course.

Like all it's Android brethren, it is simply a stripped down version (to the point of being royalty free) of JavaME from Google who's primary business is showing and selling ads. Everything else is an extra to lore people onto viewing more ads.

$200 with a two year contract = $500 with no contract.
No contest.
However, the T-Mobile girl is very pretty, though snarky in that "I'm a Mac sorta way.

I don’t understand why people continue to compare this to the iPad. It’s not even in the same league, IMO. I’d be more likely to compare it to the iPhone. Seems to me that it’s a large smart phone.
I’m just sayin’

I have yet to see any of the I-pad killers that will have much of a chance of seriously cashing in on this market. Apple has a strong advantage in not only being first to deliver this type of product, but has the infrastructure though its I-tunes that will be hard for competitors to duplicate. I am also impressed by how quickly the I-pad has taken off in some markets especially in the medical field.

Dell's second effort to compete with Appleâs $500 iPad... the first capable of 4G cellular speeds (it also has Wi-Fi)... runs Google's Android operating system... Tegra 2... Its screen, battery life, and software are all disappointing, and vastly inferior not only to the iPad's, but also to those on the Samsung Galaxy Tab

I've switched to Apple products a few years ago... MacBookPro and iTouch 3rdGen... and given gifts of the same to relatives.
What some don't understand is that others, like me, would pay the $500 for the Apple product because I'm not going to replace it in two years when it gets overloaded with software & hardware failures and becomes a doorstop. Someone, mentioned above about the Dell 'pad'... you get what you pay for... and I would rather pay for quality.
