The evil white stuff is invading us again and Al Gore is not here, in his position as High Priest to utter incantations and save us from the CO2 generated from $3.00 + GAS required to run our snow blowers.
Biff Buffington LIVES!
It’s turned to rain here in the Concord area. The roads ought to be a blast in another couple of hours. Anybody for a little street hockey?
Sign me up for some of the Glo-Bull Warming.
Snowing here in southern michigan now.

You guys in East Vermont got hit a lot harder than we did in the last storm, payback can be a Female Dog!
We’re in a cold snap too. It’s probably not going to break 70 degrees here today.
I love “Biff”. Hell, I just shoveled off my deck (almost three feet worth of Winter) and raked my roof, and I’m now happily nursing a damned fine martini for my efforts. I know that some people can’t relate to the pride that we New Englanders feel upon mastering the elements but I rarely feel as alive as when I’ve blasted through tons of snow and can sit back and admire the fruit of my labors.
I love it!
Great pic.
“...my son was conceived 40 years ago during a taste test between a martini and a gibson...”
Well, we must ask: How is Gibson William “Little Bill” the Younger doing these days?
Is he just as wise and discriminating as his father, one would hope?
Excellent!
Then he IS his father’s son, and we all benefit from it.
Greetings from Idaho, good sir, and best wishes to you.
30’ degrees here in my neck of MA - raining
Driveways and sidewalks are sheets of ice
Driving should be interesting for folks tonight
Eyewitness storm reporting to you Mr Buffington:) Over and Out....
(So right about ‘78 - but this is beyond old)
LOL! Well done, sir!
No kidding.
Not much snow down thataway most years.
We’re up near Moscow, came out here after years in both North Dakota and Montana.
We’ve had a couple of rough winters in the past five but not this year or last year either.
But my home area in North Dakota is taking a beating. Seventy-five inches of snow so far (and this an area generally categorized as ‘near-desert’) and down to minus 30 air temperatures.
Worst of it is this is their third year in a row. Plus they’ve got the wild oil boom going on back there, with all kind of rogue wildcat tanker truck drivers roaring up and down the little highways and gravel county roads.
Bill, it’s a boom of proportions you can’t imagine. Couple months ago they put a counter on the main street of my home town (about 1800 people, depending on whom you count) and they notched 6,000 vehicles per day.
Five years ago there were tumbleweeds blowing up the yellow line so they ain’t exactly complaining. But, as the Texans say, it’s quiiiite sumthin........
