That Which Lurks below (Shark below surfer caught on video)

While SUP surfing (stand up paddle surfing) with a couple friends, Chuck Paterson saw 2 sharks circling them for about 15 minutes. The next day, Chuck decided to go back out at around the same time and take my his ("GO PRO HD HERO") camera mounted on a 10 ft pole and do some exploring.

Sure enough within 5 minutes a 9 ft shark came out of no where and circled him twice and slapped his tail on his board before disappearing. About a minute later a 7 ft young juvenile Great White swam circles around him for 12 minutes. Chuck said it was an unreal experience that he will cherish forever.

This is pretty cool actually. I am testing a new site with the idea I may stop dealing with my hometown news paper.

I still haven’t decided whether I’ll cancel with the ER, but it is looking like I will at least limit my posts with them if I don’t cancel my contract with them altogether.

Big decision, because I have invested a lot of time and energy into them, but I really am not all that satisfied with them.

If I could only have had it so easy,...they used to make us swim from Hawaii Kai to Molokai every morning after being eaten by sharks, and then we were made to wake up 45 minutes before we went to bed, had a breafast of cold nails and dust, and had to tow an ocean liner behind us as we broke the surf zone and ran a marathon in soft sand on the beach....and that was on holiday....
