I request prayer last fall when my mom was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I have been with her and she has been under hospice care since..there have been so many ups and downs, but mostly downs.
She has had a lot of health problems over the years including this..seems so wrong for someone at such a young age. At times I have hoped that there would be a miracle. It is a miracle that she is still with us and it is a miracle that she is in good spirts. But it is taking so much from her and today she told me that this is her time to go and she will be at peace when it comes. I didn't want to hear that for sure. but her body is so miserable and often the comfort methods we are using are just to help one thing and then something else starts bothering her. pain. fatigue.. Her coughing spells are horrible the fluid keeps building up in her lungs. I have been so angry at God at times. either anger or fear. This disease is so evil and no I don't blame her smoking cigarettes because she doesnt blame them herself. She doesn't blame her smoking habit.. because as nurse she has seen this in non smokers. But please keep her in your prayers. and our family.
i dont think i have much time left with her

I’m so sorry. My husbands sister died at 45 from lung cancer. She was not a smoker.

God is calling to us during these difficult times and struggles. Listen to Him. He wants you to trust Him even in this time of watching your mom suffer. His Word says ‘My thoughts are not your thoughts; My Ways not your ways’. What you see on this earth with your mom’s suffering is NOT what He sees. He’s calling her home, just as He will with all of us and if we believe that Jesus Christ was sent to redeem us and died on the cross for our sins, then we have eternal life with Him. That’s what you need to remember. This life is but a blip, for you and your mom. Trust Him.
I have and will continue to pray for you and that you see His hand in this.

Your mom seems at peace, and willing to meet her Maker. Be grateful for that. She’s been through so much, she may need your ‘permission’ for her to go in peace, and to end the pain and suffering. I pray that you take on and absorb her spiritual comfort during this excruciatingly painful time.
Prayers lifted, both for her and for you... May God bring your Mom some comfort and ease from the pain, and may He bring you comfort, understanding and patience. Patience and understanding - they are always the hardest for me, so I always pray that He would give them generously to others.

Cancer is so cruel.
So sorry you are going through this with your Mom.
My youngest uncle found out he had gall bladder cancer when he was 53. It had already spread to his liver. He was gone in a year. He was a vital man. Looked 10 years younger than he was before he got sick.
He was at peace in the final months of his illness.
He said “Cancer didn’t kill me it just walked me home to God”.
He showed amazing courage and never complained even though he had every reason to.
He left behind 3 children. It’s been 3 years since he left us and we still can’t quite believe he was taken so young.
Peace to you and your dear Mom as you suffer through this.
One scripture helped me especially, when my uncle left us.
2 Corinthians 5:8
“Sorrow not as those who have no hope, for we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.”

Please know that they WILL pray for your mom, you, and the doctors..
Your living through some hard times. Do your best to trust in HIM. HE decides when HE wishes to take your mom to HIS Kingdom. Your mom doesn’t want you to be angry, frustrated and heartbroken. So easy to give out advice to others. But perhaps the advice has merit. Try to enjoy your time with her while you still have her. A prayer lifted up for you both for HIS best for you both.
