Next Sunday the 2 most storied sports franchises in the NFL are meeting.

I have loved both teams since I was a kid, but since I lived on Pittsburgh for about a year, I am slightly rooting more for the Steelers.

I am from L.A. so I can root for anyone I want. When I move to Dallas later this I assume they will staple (or nail) a Cowboys sticker to my forehead...

Truly a premier franchise, but as with the Yankees, being a fan of the franchise is the path of least resistance and therefore generally unimpressive.

There’s also the matter of their franchise QB being a serial sexual predator.

I think the owner (Rooney ?) was an old man when the Steelers finally won the Big One. They’ve more than made up for lost time since then.

Funny thing is, they were one of the worst franchises in the NFL for nearly the first 40 years of their existence. They were the team who kept Ted Marchibroda and cut Johnny Unitas. They didn’t have a single playoff appearance from 1933-1972.

Barry Hussein Soetero and AlGore were given Nobel prizes just as the Steelers have been given two Super Bowls. It does not mean they earned them in any way. The only pedigree the Steelers have is they rely on the refs to win playoff games. The refs screwed Dallas out of one Super Bowl in the ‘70s and the Seahawks got ripped off a few years ago by the most incompetent and biased pro-Steeler officiating ever seen by NFL fans. The Steelers and their crappy biased refs belong in the NBA, not the NFL.

Gloat away. The fans of all the other NFL teams that earn their victories know better.
