And again, more fun and humor in Heaven.
Assumes facts not yet in evidence.
This guy had by far the best Nixon voice ever. Rich Little had the visual but was nowhere near the skill. He did EVERYONE in the 60’s and early 70’s.
Just saying. I’d like to think that the majority of humanity loves and worships Jesus and God, whether publicly or in their hearts. Since we don’t know what’s in people’s hearts I like to come down on the side of righteousness on an individuals part.
He was funny. I hadn’t thought of him in years.
..RIP.
His Buckley was perfect.
Condolences to family and friends of David Frye.
Frye did this bit, "Richard Nixon Goes To Jail" ...
Nixon winds up with a Hippie as a cellmate. The Hippie has a joint and lights up ...
Nixon asks to try the smoke - and tokes up ...
Nixon says, Absolutely NO effect whatsoever ...
Then Nixon says to the stoner, BTW, you got a twenty-pound bag of Oreo cookies and a quart of milk? ...
He did a great John Doe under arrest!
His LBJ was priceless.
I seem to recall that he put on some rimless glasses. He’d tilt his head down a little so he could look over them. He’d raise his eyebrows and adopt a broad, closed-mouth, folksy grin. He’d beam to the right. He’d beam to the left.
Without saying a word, he was already more LBJ than LBJ.
Wow...that was a universally understood punch-line back in the 70s...such memories.
He was one of the greatest!!! I grew up watching him on tv and he provided me and my Dad with soooo much laughter...they don’t have any decent comedy today.
R.I.P. David Fry...say hello to Richard Nixon...and if he’s there..LBJ.
Yes, and he should say hello to ol’ William F.,....I know he’s up there.
RIP.
Stoner: "Hey hey hey .. take the paper off first!"
From Frye's album "Richard Nixon - A Fantasy" .. one of the funniest political comedy albums of its era ..
Also on that David Frye album is Ted Kennedy, whenever asked about *anything* would always reply: "And when I returned Mary Jo and the car were gone"
