Days before he's set to call his third Super Bowl for FOX, Troy Aikman confirmed on Wednesday that he and his wife of 10 years have split.
People.com first reported the breakup of the Hall of Fame quarterback and his wife, Rhonda. Aikman later confirmed it to the Dallas Morning News:
"This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage we have decided to separate," he told the newspaper. "We remain deeply committed to our children and respectfully ask that you honor our family's privacy during this period of adjustment."

Aikman was a voracious ladies man while single. Dated a girl I know, chased others who were taken that I know; the stories were many. The packer comment is absurd.

I heard the gay rumors for years too. I have friends who are surgeons in DFW and they’ve said for years that the word on the street was that he “played for the other team”.
Heard all those same rumors about Steve Young, too, before he got married.

I was in the next condo from Aikman in Cabo San Lucas several years ago . He appeared to be there with another guy but every time I saw them they were beating back the girls with a club and enjoying every minute of it. I was curious so when I got home I looked up his marital status and was surprised to find he was married.

Karen Jones, Jerry Jones daughter-in-law is a friend of mine. Troy Aikman is not gay, far from it.
