Job offers, celebrity and money are often not the solution for rescuing the feral citizens who inhabit the urban ghettos in this country.
Their problems are personal, moral and spiritual and the solution must come from within. They can throw as much money as they like at Williams. Unless he overcomes his inner demons, he'll continue to be a deadbeat. Indeed, the money will only make things worse.
I will have to read this thread again when I get back from the eye doctor.
At first glance it appeared his family jewels were on rehab.
You are the exception then. Rejoice in that. For many of us, Sobriety wasn’t an option until it was the only option.
I’m sorry to sound harsh but I’m not wishing him the best or pulling for him. He’s a con man, pure and simple. He had a good story to sell and had a physical quality—his voice—that people found attractive. If he sounded like Harvey Fierstein no one would care about him.

Riot police dispersed the rally -- one of several expected on Tuesday.

I was NEVER talking about a (homeless) mother of two who chooses to escape a wretched, violent existence somewhere because of an abusive spouse (to make up a storyline). It’s not my out-of-thin-air claim that homelessness (the kind Mr Williams lived for YEARS) is rooted in a mental disorder.
And I don’t appreciate the weakly veiled assertion I’m somehow mentally ill.
Not you yourself..?
