Hard to say. It's clear she is an irritant to them. But I also think it's hard to dismiss polls showing that she's as unpopular as Obama, perhaps more so. Yeah, yeah, polls are rigged, polls can be twisted, and polls were pretty much right on in 2008.

Conservatives would be better advised to figure out what it is that the so-called "independents" don't like about her and, if possible, fix it. But on thread after thread, I keep telling people that I work with college students every day, and none of the conservatives kids love her. They are all jazzed about most other conservatives, and even many who are RINOS, but for whatever reason they are not excited about Palin. My take is that she's too close to their mother's age.

Yeah, you keep your finger in the water of those college marxist indoctrinees, get a real temperature check on the political climate.

BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!

(P.S.) Those college pukes represent about 2% of the vote in a national election. Can you say "irrelevant"?

I can.

“none of the conservatives kids love her.”

It is a pop culture thing.
Celebrities, teachers, the media..They all painted a bull’s eye on her, and have convinced the kids to hate her.
Ask any kid under 25 about Palin and they will go “YUK”.
It is the in thing to do now.

As for me, the more hate that I see, the more I believe that she would be the best POTUS of all the crowd.

Minds full of mush. Maybe Palin should say she smoked pot in order
to patronize those who are to lazy to Vote.

I've never met a Conservative college student. And if you're a superior
I would factor in the grade answer to any of your questions to them.

It’s not “chic” in liberal circles such as colleges and the bar scene to support Palin.

WTH? Capitulation does not represent conservative values.

Maybe you were confused and missed the RINO board.

Maybe you can you tell us why the 9/11 terrorists hated us so much, and
WHAT AMERICA DID WRONG?

Wow, totally bass ackward.. Conservatives need to stand for something, not be wishy washy. Independents I.E. sheeple need to figure out who they are.

I believe she should tone down the achievements of her family, (before I get flamed) I am for her and and will vote for her. I think this country needs a change and she is the right one to do that. I don't think she is acting, I believe she is real.

I overheard different people talking about " lucky kids" They feel that the kids got some pretty good breaks because of their mom. Not my opinion but when you hear the same thing at different times by different people, I think there is something to it. I don't think the kids are getting that many breaks because they seem to be able to do well when on their own.

Palin is getting a lot of attention (and I believe the Libs are scared to death of her otherwise they would drop it). I can't imagine any of the other( considered "front runners") for the GOP being able to beat Obama. We can't have the MSM picking our primary winner like the last time. Its Palin all the way.

Give me time to get my tin foil hat adjusted.

There's no talking to Palin supporters. You say anything negative about her, and you're an idiot who buys the MSM spin. You're a misogynist. You're a RINO. They are as irrational as the Fred Thompson people were a few years ago. In fact, they're mostly the same people.

It was the same deal with Christine O'Donnell. There was no reasoning with her fans. Just post some flattering photos and ignore reality. And when they fail, blame those who accurately described reality.

Silly me! What am I saying? She's Ronald Reagan! lol. There's a whole lot of people who have already seen enough of Palin and she will never close the sale. I doubt she'll be the nominee.

I agree. I like her, but she’ll never get elected because the ceasless media attacks on her have taken their toll in the so called independents. The media work on the principle that if you throw enough sh!t at someone some of it will stick, and I have been watching politics for a long time and I can’t remember anyone being the recipient of so much media hatred and lies except maybe Barry Goldwater (first presidential election in which I voted)

If you look back to the 2008 elections, the indies didn’t go for Palin because they didn’t think she was ready to be VP.

When you think about Mccain, he is the type that indies and moderates like, but he was a poor candidate and conservatives despise him. He picked Palin and touted her as a conservative because his showing would have been abysmal without the base. She provided conservatives with cover for voting against Obama for someone they disliked immensely.

If he had picked someone other than Palin, he might have gotten more of the independent vote, but would have had a poor showing from the base of the party.

You idea she is like Mom probably has truth in it for some. They can’t picture Mom as president. She is a woman, a pretty woman. At that age many still think that the pretty ones are fun, but not to be taken seriously. That isn’t particularly fair, but that is the way it is. Maybe if she were older the perception would be different.

Obama won by speaking in private to his marxist elites. Speaking in code to his black base. Speaking as the great healer and uniter, almost Reaganesque, to everybody else.

Maybe she plans to do that. I say that because she will have to moderate her persona to get the moderates and indies. That may disappoint many conservatives except the die hard fans.

Or she can hope the great Obama makeover is a total bust. LOL

My take is that she reminds them of that sort of of irritating busybody mother that is always active in school stuff -- I'm sure you remember the type.

That ... plus kids today seem to have much better BS meters than we had when we were their age. They're a lot more cynical, even if naive. And they haven't really seen Palin do anything to set herself apart from the parody that Tina Fey created in 2008. It's still just folksy talk and catch-phrases.

You're talking about college kids. By definition anyone qualified to be President is technically old enough to be their parents.

"My take is that she's too close to their mother's age.

It's the speech cadence problem. It has never been corrected and it makes her difficult to understand. People just do not want to work that hard to get info. Shallow, unfair, yes..but there it is.

Yes, that's true about the polls in the Fall of 2008. But the real question is, how accurate were the polls in January of 2007 in predicting who would be elected president? And of course the answer is, they weren't.

That's because when it comes to the real world, even the conservative kids are morons. They're years away from being leaders, for now, they need to be led.
