Tucson shooter's incredible marksmanship
AboveTopSecret.com ^ | Jan 15, 2011

The perp is supposed to have had time to empty* one extended magazine holding 31 rounds.  Yet if you count the number of wounds in the victims, you come up with at least 30 wounds.

Dead

-John Roll, 63 (?) -Gabriel Zimmerman, 30 (?) -Dorwin Stoddard, 76, shot in head (1x) -Christina Greene, 9, shot once through chest (1x) -Dorothy Morris, 76 (?) -Phyllis Schneck, 79 (?)

Wounded

--Ron Barber, 65, shot in the leg and in the face and neck area (2x) --Bill Badger, 74, grazing wound in back of head (1x) --Kenneth Dorushka, 63, shot in arm (1x) --Eric (aka James) Fuller, 63, wounded in knee and back (2x) --Randy Gardner, 60, shot in foot (1x) --U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords(D-AZ), 40, shot through head, either from back or front (1x) --Susan Hileman, 58, shots in torso and leg (3x) --George Morris, 76, shot in chest and leg (2x) --Mary Reed, 52, shot in back and once in each arm (3x) --Pam Simon, 63,  shot in wrist and chest (2x) --Mavanell Stoddard, 75,  shot 3 times in the leg (3x) --James Tucker, 58, shot in the collarbone and the leg (2x) --Kenneth Veeder, 75, grazed in leg (1x)

And that doesn't include rounds that impacted the building:

http://www.azcentral.com/12news/news/articles/2011/01/08/20110108arizona-congresswoman-gabrielle-giffords-shooting-scene.html Jason Pekau, 31, saw bullet holes in the walls and in the Safeway windows.

Even assuming rounds that passed through one victim and then impacted another, it is a truly incredible piece of marksmanship from some guy who had no known professional training and probably very little practice.  Which is of course evidence of multiple shooters.

--------

*Or maybe he didn't even fire that many:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/01/09/132764807/rep-gabrielle-giffords-d-ariz-others-reported-wounded-in-shooting?ps=rs There were still bullets in the suspect's gun when he was tackeled by two bystanders, Dupnik says.

Or evidence of people crowed tightly around someone.

If I get a group of 30 people to tightly pack in a 20 foot circle around something and then just start firing into the pack.... it wouldn't be to hard to hit one or more people with every shot.

Don't be an etard. Wrap more tinfoil around your head and you won't hear the voices.

Just because he hit a lot of people does not mean he hit what he was aiming at.

He was surrounded by people. If he missed on, he just hit the one behind them.

What happened to the ‘missing’ security film of the far parking lot ? The area near the ‘grassy knoll’

There were obviously enough people that he the only way he could miss was if he shot straight up or straight down. No, he was no Annie Oakley, he was shooting at targets from 10 feet or less and couldn’t miss.

P.S. I would bet that there are more than one grazing shot that hit two people with one bullet.

Markmanship is not required when shooting into a densely packed crowd.

In an interview one of the women who was wounded who pushed her daughter against the wall when the shooter started shooting said many people were all in a very small area and that his shoorting was close-range and the emergency room staff remarked at how much gunpowder there was in her wounds, apparently indicating how close the shooter was to her.

Eyewitnesses said they were packed into a corner of the Safeway building, so there was nowhere for them to escape. If the shooter was standing with his back to the open area, the people would be hemmed in and would not run toward the shooter. Obviously, it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

He was shooting at point blank range along a crowded line of people in “Condition White.” It was a “fish in a barrel” scenario.

With all the advantages he had it could have been a lot worse if he was skilled shooter.

Indeed, there exists a missing libtard film. The msm is covering this up!

Thanks. That answers some questions for me.

Crowd was lucky the shooter did not use Corbon rounds, which flatten and shatter forming a wall of powdered lead upon impact but continues to travel into the body causing severe trauma. It is said the round if impact in human chest, head and abdomen is a death sentence. Even if you survive, your insides are so shattered that you will die from internal bleeding. The only good news about the round is it will not go thru you and travel thru walls and etc, even at close range. Favorite for bodyguards, but in the wrong hands a mass casualty ordnance.

corbon ammo is noted for higher then normal vel using standard hollow point bullets.

The fastest expanding bullets they sell like the glaser safety slugs use lead shot not powdered lead for the core with limits penetration but can cause some very large wound channels. But they are not a death sentence people have been shot with them and lived.

Shooting them through very heavy clothing or intermediate targets can cause them to under penetrate causing only surface wounds.

I haven't heard what bullets the shooter used but because we have not heard I am thinking he used FMJs.

Do we know what rounds he was using? I would guess FMJ round-nose “ball” since it came from WalMart. But haven’t heard anything official.
