His villians, (bad cops, reporter, leftie mom) remind me of Jared Loughner - crazy leftists.
I haven't finished the book yet, but I think he is setting up for the hero to be a dog!!!! Even better!

Cool.
This book would have been rejected for publication a few years ago (and not too many years ago either)

Me too- going to go buy it today
We vote with our wallets too
I (loudly) walk out of movies that insult Conservatives or Republicans and demand my money back. Three times already, they DO gove you your money back too.

"Dean Koontz has been slipping conservatism into his recent books." Recent? Koontz has woven some pretty conservo-libertarian themes into his books for as long as I can remember (probably going on at least 20 years).
He loves his dog, too :-)

When I was younger, I used to read all Dean Koontzs books. The one with Egler Vess (something like that) and the camper haunts me to this day. Cant remember the name of it. Anyway, now I dont like that kind of books or movies anymore (real life is scary enough), but there was a time when I had read every book Dean Koontz had ever written.

Kicks the crap out of Stephen Kings newer books and quite a few of the older ones. I just wish he’d write more sci-fi/horror

I do remember that his books are the kind that YOU CANNOT PUT DOWN. I’d start one and before I knew it is was 4 AM and I only had one chapter to go (so of course I’d finish it).

Intensity, with Edgler Foresman Voss.

I believe that was Intensity. A fantastic book. I think it's the only book that I literally couldn't put down. It was so intense and just didn't let up. I read the entire book in one sitting. I haven't read Koontz in a few years now. I used to read everything he wrote.

Interesting you post about Dean’s latest book as I’m in the process of reading it right now. I’m not sure how much I’m liking it, but I adore Dean Koontz and support him in every way possible. He’s a good man.

Worst! Book! Ever!!!
Very realistic. Conservative, Evangelical Christian, murderous Meth-Lab operators (who adored Sarah Palin.)
