DAVIS, Calif.- A California psychologist says human beings may be ready to accept evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligence without widespread panic.
Dr. Albert Harrison of the University of California's Davis campus said such a discovery "may be far less startling for generations that have been brought up with word processors, electronic calculators, avatars and cellphones as compared with earlier generations," The Scotsman reported Tuesday.
Harrison said discovering an alien life-form or signal would be unlikely to cause "widespread psychological disintegration and collapse."
Martin Dominik of Scotland's University of St. Andrews said Earth-like life on planets with similar environments may be a "cosmic imperative" and intelligent extra-terrestrial beings are likely quite similar to humans.
Not in the Oval Office. Thanks JPB.
INDEED.
We come in peace! We come in peace!
I want the people to know that they still have 2 out of 3 branches of the government working for them, and that ain’t bad.
That could be an amoeba.
