Some of us have seen this movie before. A tragedy happened and within 48 hours, the entire media establishment had a narrative that moved across the country faster than a freight train. The targets of the narrative had no idea how to deal with it. The media will never tell you they survived the wave of negative stories (read: propaganda) about them, however, many were later compromised from within. As of the time of this writing, the media is a few steps away from accusing one Sarah L. Palin of pulling the trigger in Tucson, Arizona on January 8th that killed a sitting Federal Judge, a child and 4 others, and wounding a dozen others including a sitting member of the U.S. Congress. Many others are all but being accused of coaching the killer into his actions. Let us ask ourselves: Why?

Many of Palin’s supporters may already know the answer. If not, allow me to spell it out as I work Mrs. Palin may find as helpful advice from a ‘veteran’: Would Sarah be the subject of such slander if she had made it clean she was NOT running for President?

The answer is of course, no. And nor would the Tea Party be implicated - unless there was a reason. Clearly, someone or something sees the Tea Party – implicitly led by Sarah Palin – as a serious threat. Even Palin’s chief media outlet, Fox News, had joined into the fray - to a degree at least. Here’s an example of what’s going around the newswires now:

“…Fox News claimed it had seen a Department of Homeland Security memo which said Jared Lee Loughner, 22, had ties to American Renaissance, which is staunchly anti-immigration, anti-government and anti-Semitic…” (Source – DailyMail.UK)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Real Americans: This is deliberate attempt to steer public opinion about the accused into a direction favorable the the Tea Party – and yes Sarah Palin’s opposition. This is the book definition of ‘spin’. I had my reservations when Palin agreed to a contract with the Fox News Channel. After watching Fox News since the Safeway Massacre, my first piece of advice to her would be to immediate reconsider this contract.

My second piece of advice would be a bit more controversial, but here it is:

Call for a press conference announce ASAP – give them a one day notice. (I’m sure she’s being contacted non-stop by the global media right now). Have a supportive crowd present…

then announce her candidacy for President of the United States.

No, I don’t have a screw loose. In diplomatic terms, it’s called ‘dealing from a position of strength’. In military terms, it’s called ‘responding to an ambush by charging into it’. In poker, it’s called ‘calling their bluff’. Are you listening Sarah?

This whole media blitz is designed to put Sarah and the Tea Party on the defensive; to be forced to get on the air and distance yourselves from what you believe, thus never having the ability to state your own position.

As you recall, this was attempted during the 2010 congressional campaign. But today, we’re talking 2012, where the stakes are higher. The left is attempting again to negatively paint the Tea Party Movement – yet they can’t even define who they are. This time they feel more embolden since they feel they have blood on the Tea Party’s hands.

Even announcing an exploratory committee would change the narrative:

a) it would nix the fox contract
b) she has to be treated as a candidate – she could even demand more security for herself and her family
c) Tea Party Folks rally around her candidacy giving her a trump card to deal with gutless GOP leaders
d) She can then re-state all of her positions before other GOP wanna-bes start stealing them all.
e) It takes the ‘forcing Sarah out of the race’ strategy off the table.
f) Makes it clear to the left that this strategy won’t work.
g) It's not what they expect

This subject is now open for public debate, but in my opinion, it’s the best way for her to fight her way through this ambush. And her candidacy should be announced sometime this week.

Nope....Sarah should do nothing right now!

It’s clear that there is no (none whatsoever) of any clear evidence or even implicit that the shooter had any connection to Palin or the Tea Party...the evidence is leaning to a disturbed buy who is a left winger

Let the media/leftist hang themselves

Sir,

I am going to agree with one condition. Sarah and her family receive and accept Secret Service protection, if the Secret Service is not already with them.

I agree this smear must be met head on in counter attack. May God Bless Sarah, her family, and the Tea Party. Sarah is our best hope. This is what I believe.

Step one for Palin needs to be exposure on talk radio outlets and other media venues where she can speak her mind without getting shouted down or having an angry host try to blame her. Set the record straight and point out all of the shooter’s left-wing connections. Keep referring to him as a leftist and a liberal.

And name the names of all those media people who have slandered her, with the promise that they will be banned from any access to her in the future.

They are genuinely frightened of Sara Palin because they expect her to be the next president if they are unable to destroy her early. To the left, Palin is Reagan come back to life. A Palin presidency would set back the Socialist Project severely where Romney would advance it, probably more effectively than they can and others might just delay it a bit.

An article in the New York Times quotes a classmate saying he was 'very liberal'.

"F" the so-called mainstream media, CNN and the liberal blogosphere!

There has been and is currently more hate focused on Sarah Palin by these culprits than any one in current history!

I can’t think of a worse thing to do at this moment. Not to mention that not all the Tea Party people are on the same page.

She should just carry on as normal and ignore them.

They look pretty stupid anyway.

The only benefit of announcing a run now would be secret service. It’s just a matter of time before another leftist loon like Jared goes after her- especially after today AND the MSM vitriol.

Respectfully, I think the last thing Sarah should do at this point is act rashly. It’s far too soon to announce a candidacy for the presidency. Those who are already nibbling at it are the “also rans” or long shots. Even Huckleberry knows it’s too early yet.

Sarah should sit tight, be real, and not give place to the ridiculous charges these Leftist morons are throwing her way. That’s what she’s got so many of US for — I’ll defend her, as will many others.

I have not been a Sarah Palin supporter, but after what I have witnessed this weekend by the left, I am coming around.

The despicable left is pushing the law of unintended consequences.

As a clarification, I should note that this advice isn't really just for Sarah. Some of the posters here get it, some don't. It's also for us. I'm only here for a sec, but let me throw out some helpful advice directly to the Tea Party Folks as well: The media hasn't shoved a mic and camera into the face key Tea Partiers around the country - yet. That'll happen either when the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue points the finger directly, or some crazy (probably fake) link is made. If/when that happens, here is the Tea Party Strategy:

* Prayers go out for the wounded and the surviving families.
* Yes we still want Obama Care repealed
* Yes goverment should be smaller, and spending should be reduced.
* No, we don't need more guns laws
* Yes, we still want the borders enforced.
* Yes, we still believe in the U.S. Constitution and we should all be governed as such.

* And most importantly, Yeah - we're still going to be in our representatives face about it. Since we're not the threat, we don't care how much security you bring to you town hall meetings. We will NOT be intimidated.

No wishy-washyness in front of a camera or a mic. No need to get defensive. State your position(s) and walk away (and remember, they're gonna look for the nut cases among you to interview) Despite all the propoganda, one of the key items on OUR side is that the government reps KNOW who the threats are. They can attempt to whitewash it all they want, but since the great domestic threat is from their own camp, they have to sleep with them - not us.

As far as we're concerned: No surrender; No retreat - NOT ONE INCH.

Carry on...
P.S. Remember: Some of us have seen this movie before.

Can I respectfully suggest you’re off your trolley?

I’m reminded of Jo Moore, the spin doctor who suggested to the British Government in the wake of 9/11 that, “It is now a very good day to get out anything we want to bury.”

In purely PR terms, she was right. Nothing else dominated the headlines for weeks. But the sheer fact that the politicians were already taking extremely tasteless and cynical advice like that on a routine basis, did them enormous damage.

Are you really suggesting that Sarah Palin should instigate the most tasteless, cynical, self-serving PR gimmick by a politician in the wake of a national tragedy?

I don’t know if you’ve heard of Katie Price (f.k.a. the boob model Jordan) - she’s an utterly, utterly shameless, immoral, self-obsessed, promiscuous media whore, who will exploit any situation she can, and stoop to levels of depravity hitherto thought impossible outside of Aleister Crowley’s drug parties, if it’ll keep her in the gossip columns for a few days.

I’d expect that particular waste of skin to sink to new depths and use such a tragedy as this for her own self-glorification, but then I have a very low opinion of her.

And, for that reason alone, you can count me out because in a million years I wouldn’t ever respect a politician who would stoop to that level.

Sarah Palin - don’t go there.
