Are the works of Langston Hughes on the chopping block, too?
Yes, indeed. Their position has the singular virtue of being correct.
That is America; the real America that I know and love. There's more of real worth in that little illustrated essay than in thousands of pages and hours of video of pansified faggotistical dreck that are foisted off on us today.
Perverting Nigger Jim's name in a school edition only is, IMO, the worst of all options. School is for learning, not for hiding from the truth.
Will e-books be true to the originals in the future? Who will check all of them? I’ve no real trust of that.
The graduates of these special schools are going to complain about casting when they see a film about Spartacus leading a slave revolt against Rome.
I’m pretty sure it is in the public domain.
They really should call it “The Edited Huckleberry Finn”
“Nigger Jim” was a hero, don’t they get it? The whole story was anti-slavery and portrayed him as Huck’s savior at the risk of his own freedom!
The democrats do not like blacks who stray from their party.
They call them Uncle Toms.
If that is not being racist I don;t know what is.
Democrats demand unquestioned loyalty from all their blacks.
Democrats feel they are black folks betters.
That is what makes them elites.
Democrats are still being the slavemasters.
Too bad more blacks can’t see that simple fact.
There is an unintended consequence from this sort of action.
If the "N" word never occurred then how did the N word become so tasteless? If you treat reality like fantasy then you can never explain how it came to be a problem.
Many peoples first awareness of just how evil slavery was is when Huck lies to people on the river looking for runaway slaves. We should not deny future generations the thought process that Mark Twain wrote describing Hucks careful consideration of what he was doing when took the decision to lie.
If you dont let the reality of history to the surface then what is the problem. If it never happened than it could have never been a problem.

“All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn... American writing comes from that. There was nothing before. There has been nothing as good since.” — Ernest Hemingway, “Green Hills of Africa” (1935)
In the words of Walt Whitman, "The dirtiest book of all is the expurgated book."
Sounds to me like the democrats are trying to erase their founding and continuing involvement throughout history with the KKK.
