Retired Marine Corps drill instructor and actor R. Lee Ermey took an opportunity to rail against the Obama administration during a Dec. 10 appearance on Roe & Roepers Miracle on Indianapolis Blvd. Holiday Extravaganza live broadcast to benefit the USO. The retired vet stressed that the Marines Toys 4 Tots program was working through the struggling economy to bring holiday cheer to young boys and girls, but also delivered a political punch to the Obama administration which he claimed was trying to destroy the country by imposing socialism:

If he were to get involved with the TEA party and make a few appearances, it would be a nice gesture. Attendance would be staggering.
If he were to do a little fund raising for the Salvation Army....

I saw the Gunny at the last SHOT show in Orlando, Florida -- he was manning the Glock booth and signing autographs with a line of people fifty yards long. As I walked by, I good- naturedly hollered at him, "Hey Gunny -- yer out of uniform!" He looked up, smiled and flipped me off. I smiled right back, rendered hand salute and said "As you were, sargeant". At which he laughed and went back to signing autographs.
