A security guard said the driver of a van that struck a Honda Civic appeared to be favoring a leg as he fled the scene
The impact from a Sunday morning hit-and-run accident was so forceful, a Honda Civic on the receiving end had to be towed away before the bodies of its driver and two passengers could be removed from the wreckage.
A fourth passenger in the vehicle was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
The Civic was traveling west on 82nd Street near 2nd Avenue between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. when it was struck by a blue van, whose driver fled immediately.
A security guard in the area said the van driver appeared to be limping as he ran from the scene.
The Medical Examiner's office will handle extricating the deceased passengers from the car. Miami Fire Rescue said they include the driver, a man in his 30s, and two women in their 20s who were riding in the backseat.
What’s the bet that the driver of the vans paper work was not up to snuff. It is also a reminder to not drive a subcompact death trap. That must have been a gruesome scene with the Civic.
HUZZAH!
Sounds like a Mexican illegal. Thats their motus operati when in a car wreck.
A security guard SEES this Amish fellow LIMPING away from the accident AND CAN’T CAPTURE HIM///////////////////////?????? Hell, at 96 I could still capture the moron! You just watch him LIMP away????????????????????
Maybe is was Black mistaken for Navy Blue? What self respecting Mennonite or Amish would drive anything which wasn’t black?
“Sounds like a Mexican illegal. Thats their motus operati when in a car wreck.”
They call it Mexican Insurance on the radio here in Colorado.
I share your frustration but come on, we do not know the circumstances. I can think of several reasons; he saw it in a security camera, he was behind several locked doors, he was under standing orders not to leave the premises, he saw it from a second floor window ... etc.
We have seen many other examples where managers and clerks get fired because the company has orders not to resist robberies. The fact that he was able to tell the police that this guy may have been injured may mean that this pond-scum will have to tolerate pain because he cannot use an emergency room for the injury. That would be the tiniest beginning of righteous payback!
There’s a picture of the car here...

It reminds me of a crushed beer can.
“A security guard in the area told police the van driver, who police described as a black male wearing a blue shirt and slacks, appeared to have suffered a leg injury and limped as he fled the accident scene.”
