I almost ran off the road listening to this on the way in to work toay.
Obie did say he was concerned about the rise in gas prices, not their highlevel but their rate of increase.
This is what he wants. This is not a warning to the Obies, but the opportunity to enable their upcoming restrictions on Americans.
You thought smokers had it tough, well, wait, buckos, all Americans are gonna feel the enveloping tentacles of the Nanny State in their HOMES!
High gasoline will allow the ramming through of the smart grid, restrictions on your power usage, and penalties if you exceed energy usage levels.
No more complicated than that.

I’m not a spokesman for Rush, but again, here is another shinning example of him being right. He said this a couple of months back that the bastard, (my word) is doing all this on purpose.

He probably said “we are not doing drillin.” 0bama does not want the oil bidness to continya drillin.
Right. He’s screwing not drilling.
Look, all of this was available to interested minds prior to the ‘08 elections. There were interviews of him available on the internet (my policies would necessarily cause energy prices to skyrocket / it’s good when you spread the wealth around / blah blah blah).
Only too many people just saw the grinnin’ and spinnin’ and took a chance on Hope and Change...
Look at the basket case which is Spain, which was the leader in the European Green Economy. They lost 2.1 jobs for every green job they created, all through subsidies which has resulted in 20% unemployment. The country is broke, and have just announced suspension of future subsidies for the green energy sector.
And our leader and his cronies want us to be more like Europe. Let’s be more like Switzerland and tell everyone else to leave us alone.
Green energy has been a monumental failure in Europe.

Call Boehner and relay this to him. Hopefully, he’s through crying and ready, willing, and able to start kicking some Liberal rears.
IF gas prices go much much more which it now is, it will bring the economy to a screaming halt. Especially the trucking, airlines, FedX and UPS. A single old person on just SS will not be able to afford gas to go to the doctor or grocery store.
Better yet send it to your state’s Eagle Forum leader.
