Hawaii.
Hawaii or Paris.
There are some gorgeous golf courses there, too. Jamaica is very affordable as well.
If they don't want to leave the US check out the US Virgin Islands. No passport required but generally more expensive than the Caribbean nations.
He is on his honeymoon I hope to hell he gives it to his bride big time
I would highly recommend Sarasota, Florida. Try the Helmsley Hotel there. It is absolutely fantastic. I think you fly to either Ft Myers or Clearwater airport. It is a quick easy get away and really great.
Also St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. I dont think you need passports etc since it is property of US.
Have them come to Hawaii, specifically, Kauai. The most beautiful of the islands.
Thailand, you can’t beat the prices and culture that hasn’t been ruined by tourism. I would suggest an island called Koh Sumui. Check out wikitravels on Thailand, it’s a bit of a long flight but definitely worth it. You can find hotels bungalows on the beach from 11$ to 1,000$.
A Baltic Cruise is a wonderful choice. Paris is good. What about a Safari? Think outside of the box. A Baltic Cruise and Safari is definitely outside the box. Paris not so much. South Africa would be a wonderful trip too....maybe combine with Safari.
As active as your son sounds, Hawaii would be great. There is golf, sport fishing, surfing, parasailing, hiking on flat ground or slopes. Plenty of history on Oahu - Pearl Harbor, USS Arizona and USS Missouri.
The White House. Barry isn’t using it this week and he called it The Peoples’ House.
Go to Thailand! They won’t regret it!
No offense intended, but if they’re mature and independent enough to get married, they ought to be able to and want to research this milestone trip for themselves. Don’t get into the middle of it.
The Kohala coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. No rain and lots of terrific golf courses, restaurants & beaches.
Hana om Maui. Very beautiful and lots to do on Maui - including biking down the volcano. The drive out to Hana is beautiful, There is also a series of spring fed pools just beyond Hana that are great.
Maui or Kauai (Hawaii), but tell them not to go hiking in the mountains of any Hawaii Island....pot growers...vicious ones.
Cozumel (removed from the mainland Mexico). The Virgin Islands. Hawaii. Belize. Skiing in Utah, Colorado, etc.
And I can predict with 100% accuracy that he will love a cruise, especially on one of the newer ships. They are active 20 hours a day, all the shore excursions, and you don't have to looking for a restaurant. I have never found anybody under the age of 87 who was bored on any cruise we have been on, and that includes people from ex-NFL players to bridge addicts to avid golfers to just want to be busy all the time people to don't want to do anything people.
If he wants to just lay around, do Virgin Gorda or Tortula. Virgin Gorda has wonderful snorkeling.
If he wants to golf and swim, do San Lucia, Hawaii, or Grand Cayman.
Stay away from Mexico, period. We did honeymoon there 30 years ago in Chichen Nitza and Cancun. Now we don't even get off the cruise ship.
We have friends that go the Roatan and they love it.
My preference would be Grand Cayman or San Lucia.
Tell them to enjoy it.
I agree. Stay away from Mexico or anywhere else there is strife. My Sis in law got mugged in Greece. Go figure.
Best bang for your buck with a golf course for my money is the Dominican Republic and all the “all enclusives”. Food was great the weather great and the resort was top notch.
Tell your son to reconsider the golf...I played on my Honeymoon and am still hearing about it 35 years later.
>> I think would probably go nuts after a couple days without doing something physical.
You need to sit your son down for a talk about the birds and the bees.
