Halfway thru comrade zeros' reign as demagogue in chief and we get to the real lesson of marxists worldwide, namely the legalized murder of undesireables, all by regulatory fiat . And who determines just what constitutes an undesireable, probably some union goon bureaucrat far down in the bowels of a non- descript gov't building as far as possible from any oversight. As usual, mitch and the pubbies stood around scratching their balls while this occurred. So, what happens when the scumbag dhims finish killing all the senior citizens, my guess would be they will jump to the next target, that is anyone who votes against them and all owners of firearms. If you think this is farfetched, just ask yourself why a congresscritter from Oregon doesn't want this publicised. The first step on a very slippery slope

Scary as hell. Very disturbing.

Yep! And yet...what is being done about it?
Or...what WILL be done about it when the tyrants return to their prospective seats next week?

Thanks for the post, mapmaker and thanks to you Liz for your posts.

From the NYT article:

"Mr. Blumenauer, the author of the original end-of-life proposal, praised the rule as “a step in the right direction.”

“Thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it, but we will be keeping a close watch and may be calling on you if we need a rapid, targeted response. The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

It’s odd that the NYT would have been honest enough to publish this.

Aside from that, however, I really hope there is some way of attacking all of the regulatory mischief Obama and his gang have been getting away with. What they couldn’t get legislatively - and there was actually a lot that even some Dems couldn’t accept - they did administratively. And that seems to be much harder to undo than legislation.

I hope the GOP shines the light on this stealth government-by-dictat.

Honestly, I don’t know anymore.

I just don’t know.

I held my little 4 month old great grandson for the first time over the Christmas holidays. Do you ever have ‘moments’ sometimes, when things seem to be very clear to you? I had one of those Christmas morning, when I held my little guy in my arms, looked down at that dark baby swirl hair and thought “My God, will you ever know the country I knew and loved?”

"In an email, Representative Earl Blumenauer (D-Oregon), author of the original end-of-life proposal, praised the rule as “a step in the right direction.” “Thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it, but we will be keeping a close watch and may be calling on you if we need a rapid, targeted response. The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

If Rep Blumenauer (D-Oregon) destroyed or concealed official documents relating to this provision, he might be subject to felony laws.

Filing false documents and making false statements is a felony.....and is prosecutable. Prosecutions include 1st-degree tampering, 1st-degree offering of a false instrument, 4th-degree grand larceny, 1st-degree falsifying of official records. May also involve forgery and extortion.

If Blumenauer used a government-owned computer to alter or destroy documents relating to this provision, he could be subject to Computer Trespass laws.

Computer Trespass occurs when individuals try to destroy evidence. Computer Trespass is a class C felony if access is made with the intent to commit a crime and/or the violation involves a computer or database maintained by a government agency.

It sounds like a fat and juicy target for an Issa’s investigation that ends in putting people in jail.

The Communists are pushing the American public (giant, if you will) to exhaust all of their peaceful means, one of which was Nov 2.

If the gentle giant, who’s awake and well, decides to take on the Communist regime, 0b0z0’s thugs may regret it.

If the Communists are pushing for an emergency to exploit and cancel our freedoms, they’ll surely regret it.

Through our history, the giant got things done and over-compensated the other way before going back to sleep.
I’m afraid the giant will not go to sleep anymore, short cat naps might be about enough.

Merry Christmas, Liz.

Issa should relish this creep under his microscope.

Rep Blumenauer's constituents who wrote him WRT this provision, O/Care, etc, should stay alert.

They should demand Blumenauer produce their correspondences.

It is against the law for a Congressman to destroy constituent mail.

This may be too simple minded for some, but my thinking is IF they were able to engage these regulatory mandates, there is most certainly an easy fix to deregulate them.

Yes kozanne, I do. Nearly every time I see my little grandguys, 3+ and 1.5+ y/o, I have those 'moments' where I worry about their future. My heart mourns for them and what they will have to live through...

Liz, you are absolutely right, of course.
BUT, you and I both know NOTHING will be done. He is a demonRAT afterall. Sad, but true.

Hiya melancholy.

Agreed, but I do not believe there is the will to carry on once all the "peaceful means" have been exhausted.

Merry Christmas! ;*) (We are within the 12 days of Christmas.)

If you don’t get what he is saying then you need to pay more attention.

Or maybe he should just say what he has to say, rather than expecting us to decode his rambling little rant.

The seeds so gleefully and joyfully sowed by the fools and idiots November 4, 2008 are maturing and ripening. Noe, from what I gather, the sowers are crying because the harvest will be both bountiful and bitter. Particularily the old codgers that voted for Hope and Change.

My question is, why are they crying? They got what they wanted.

What we need to start seeing in a couple more weeks (when the GOP takes over the Congress) is some “And So It Stops” posts. Otherwise, why did we bother with the election last November?
