I don’t know a lot about sports but kudos to Buehrle. He did a good thing! So many media reports glorify bad nightclub behavior, fighting dogs, drunk driving etc... I am glad and pleased to read a report about a good thing.

Back in America, we always let our dogs run free.

I guess today, now that the country is populated by psychopathic youth whose parents let them run free with bows and shives, we are now useless.

So it goes.

I enjoy the fact that a good thing is being discussed. How many times does the media simply report the bad: arrests, domestic abuse charges, rape charges, incidents at nightclubs etc... If the good stories were reported more, maybe more sports figures would do good things. To save a helpless animal certainly puts “stars” after his name in my book. IMHO.

Correct that back on the farm, you may let your farm animal run free on your property! To day is urban America, and you can still let your animal run free in your fenced in back yard. Be responsible pet owner and the tax payers does not need to pay to kill your unwanted pets.

My mother runs a no kill cat shelter.

I know all about the unwanted pets.

It is indeed a tragedy.

Pet owners have no concept of the breeding requirements required to produce their little miniatures. Thousands of dogs are/were killed in the process.

Nature puts one hundred organisms into every possible ecological system, even if that system can only sustain one. It is the understanding and manipulation of these systems that permits human survival in our current numbers.

It is the same everywhere over all species and ecosystems. We do what we do to survive, if that includes breeding unsustainable breeds because they are fun to pat...

This is how nature works, There is no targeting of specific survivable mechanism oriented to environment, rather a bird shot pattern that hits everything at random.

Those who think they can control the natural interaction and horror of nature are vastly more dangerous than what we see as a tragic result of natural mayhem.

I have no problem with having the government in control of all pet ownership and whatever prohibitions whatever locals decide to enact.

I do not obey laws that are not physically enforced.
