“I can’t get up,” FRalphie!
Merry Christmas to all!
Not alone. Hubby and 2 dogs. Celebrated Christmas today as father in law is quickly nearing the end of an incredible life. He is a farmer who has worked since he was 5 when his father first put him on a tractor to plow a field, the oldest of 14 children. He is the father of my beloved husband and I am heartbroken. The entire family is strong and proud with titanium spines while I cry at beautiful sunsets, onstar commercials and hearing our national anthem.
Hold your loved ones close and if you can’t, dream of when you can. Be thankful for all blessings God has bestowed upon us.
Sleep peacefully and Merry Christmas.
I have JuJu with me. She’s a little blonde with one blue eye and one brown eye. Her nose is properly cold.
;-)
Ida Sessions: Are you alone, Mr Gittes? Jake Gittes: Aren't we all?!
and I will wish you a Merry Christmas!!
When you’re alone, abandoned, tossed aside, betrayed, it’s hard to believe in your Christmases, your Thanksgivings, your You Never Walk Alones, your gods and saints, when it was your fellow fervent believers who put you out to pasture, and are now dressing up to go to the midnight mass, and to Holy Communion bright early morning Christmas Day. But then, you have to have lived it, to have been there yourself...
Merry Christmas!
I've had many a Christmas when the house was full and I felt alone.
So try to keep in mind what the reason for Christmas is all about, and if you need to talk, there's a "house full" of Freepers here for you!
I’m not alone but I JUST got my computer back after being without for five days due to major meltdown. I came directly here to feel back home again. Merry Christmas!
I’m alone except for my pets. I’ll give them their presents in a couple of hours so I can (hopefully) sleep late in the morning.
I was alone for Thanksgiving. I’m thankful that my daughters who are both in the Navy are able to be home with me for this Christmas Eve.
Welcome to Afghanistan
Merry Christmas to everyone on FR! My husband & I are finally home after delivering gifts to all. Our 7 cats, 2 dogs and my husband are all napping right now while I’m listening to Christmas music & drinking a rum and coke.
I hope everyone is at peace and remembering the “reason for the season”. Christ is born!
Up from Honduras taking care of some important business matters and visiting family. But they’re all at church now (I went earlier), so, I’m alone at the moment.
Loneliest Christmas Eve I ever spent was about 15 years ago when I was still a drunk. Couldn’t even afford a washing machine, so I went to the laundromat. Watching my clothes go through the cycle, i wrote a poem: “It’s Christmas Eve in the Laundromat, And the World Keeps Spinning Round.”
Been sober for nine years. God has answered all of my prayer and fulfilled my dreams so far. Now, I’m working on a whole new set of dreams — and praying them through to fruition.
Life is good. And getting better. Because He’s the reason for the Season.
I will be with my wife and kids tomorrow. Had to be on the road and alone tonight.
i did spend part of it alone.
