Did they really think nobody would notice and start a thread on FR about it?
You mean as they host a live navitiy scene....
Please........
They have had multiple Merry Christmas spots.....
A tempest in a teapot....
I don’t see a problem with saying “happy holidays.” As long as people have just as much right to say “Merry Christmas.”
It’s not a zero-sum game, IMHO.
I can remember when Happy Holidays wasn't a bad thing (sort of like rainbows....they used to just be rainbows)
Rama-Hana-Kwanza-Mas ping.
Happy Boxing Day!
Sarc-off. Why are you getting your knickers in a knot over the banner? It's NOT a No Christmas policy, its a common greeting older than your great great grandparents.
Fool.....pay attention.
Fox also has a 30 second or so Merry Christmas blurb complete with angels or Mary and a verse from Luke.
Paranoia and Fox Bashing are neither clever nor worthwhile.
Fox is balanced and is brilliantly giving greetings to both sides of the issue.
Yes, Roger Ailes and the other bigwigs at Fox News have weekly staff meetings to discuss how their every utterance will be perceived in the FR Echo Chamber. ::rolls eyes::
Seriously...get over yourself.
Perhaps you should un-wad your panties.
I think some people make too big a deal about this. I remember Christmas cards from the fifties that said “Seasons Greetings” and “Happy Holiday.” No big deal. But I won’t buy any cards now unless they specifically state, “Merry Christmas.” I also will not shop at any store if I think they’re deliberately being PC about Christmas.
LOL
Maligayang Pasko!
Well, we must boycott them!
Seriously (seriesly?), the "holidays" consist of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. Saying "Happy Holidays" is a lot easier than listing all three.
Now, referring to Christmas as the "holiday" is somewhat different. Are they doing that? If not, then lie down for a while and get over it.
Oh, and Hannukah’s in there, too.
Yes, good analogy....fair and balanced.
I've liked all of FNC's holiday greetings :)
There is nothing wrong with saying “Happy Holidays.” People have said it for years to include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day all in one holiday wish. The issue is when it’s used to avoid recognizing the very holidays the greeting refers to or people are forced to use it against their will by employers, etc. Irony is holiday = Holy Day.
FOX News has been big on exposing the war against Christmas aka Christianity, I wouldn’t jump off a cliff just because they used the greeting as part of their banner.
Nothing quite says turn your computer and tv off and get some fresh air as a vanity about a rolling banner on Fox News.
I noticed a disturbing trend that FOX is incrementally creeping to the left. Personally I don’t care anymore, it’ll be the final nail in the coffin that will compel us to quit DTV that much sooner.
There’s no more joy watching TV...it’s become work with those screaming vulgar commercials.
FOX still remains our go to channel...but what other choice do truth seekers have?
